Today, I’ve come to the shopping mall near the dungeon early in the morning.
My goal here is to get camping equipment I can use in the dungeon.
It’s not like I need to force myself to stay the night there, but I don’t want to go without trying it once or twice.
I’m looking at camping equipment in a store that sells camping stuff, but the equipment for the dungeon is in a corner.
Yep, super expensive. One or two digits more than regular equipment.
They all look sturdy, and some have concealment and monster repelling effects, but these cost as much as a house.
Who would buy this? Then again, when you put this price against that of your life, maybe it’s not that high.
There’s also something that bothers me. I can’t find what I want.
If I can’t after searching this much, maybe they just don’t have it.
I’ll ask an employee.
Hum, do you have camping equipment for one?
Oh, you don’t?
Do you know where I may find it?
Eh? Nowhere? How come?
Dungeon camping equipment is at least for four people?
It’s the same everywhere?
No one goes to the dungeon alone, so no one makes that?
Ah… I see. Everyone’s in a party.
And me? I’m solo.
So it looks like camping equipment companies don’t want my business.
I give up on it, and instead eat all by my lonesome in the food court.
I feel like junk food, so I order the new hamburger set.
I mess around with my smartphone while munching on chips, when a man wearing a black suit stands in front of me and talks to me.
What am I doing? Isn’t it obvious? Having a lonely lunch.
No, there’s plenty of free seats, go over there.
What do I normally do?
Why’d I tell you? Go away, you’re annoying.
Hn? What’s so surprising?
Eh? Do I hate you?
I smile.
“Yes, on a visceral level.”
I say to him.

The fifteenth floor.
Before entering the dungeon, I sold the detox necklace I got yesterday. It was worth as much as the agility bracelet, two million. That’s quite the price, now I can buy camping equipment.
And I also got my stats checked for the first time in a while. My level’s gone up a bit, and I got the Parallel Thinking skill.
Parallel Thinking lets me cast two spells at the same time, so it’s pretty nice.
I cast Physical Strengthening, run at monsters, and at the same time whittle down their numbers by shooting Earth Magic bullets before finishing them off with my greatsword.
I can also use small thorns to stop monsters before destroying their heads with earth bullets.
I aim for poison slimes’ cores with my bullets, but they all miss, so I end up shotgunning them.
This is how I advance through this floor, and at some point, I start seeing other seekers here and there.
It’s not my first time seeing people here, but it is my first time seeing a large party of thirty.
The old guys that attacked me were a party of ten, but when you more than double that, it gets difficult for me to get past them.
What should I do?
And what’s with this party? Their age range is so wide. I see people that look to be in university and middle-aged people.
Seriously, what’s with this group?
I stay somewhat far from them, and keep that distance as I advance.
They actually have camping equipment, so I can tell they’re going to stay here.
Hn? One of them is waving at me.
What is it?
Eh? Take what?
Ah, yes.
…
……
Ah, you’re camping here.
Don’t tell me to put that together, I’ve never done it in my life.
Ah, so that’s how you do it!
Eh… Guns have that kind of recoil.
Ah, they’re doing a roll call.
They look like the self-defense force when they’re lined up like that.
…
They actually are.
I sneak away from them, and hurry my way home.
