I raise my head after I’m done with the gacha, but smoke is still coming out of the big purple slime.
“I made it in time…”
I feel relieved, but there’s a change in the smoke.
Four out of five smokes well up, and one disperses and drops all the items we got until now.
That one most likely fell on the wrong side of the rare monster probability.
“It’s uncertain from the white forward. Well, they’re becoming tougher, so I’m honestly thankful that there’s fewer of them.”
“True. That resistance is getting troublesome as their stats improve.”
“It is becoming difficult for my knife to go in. Having one less to deal with should relieve the burden.”
We’re getting lax despite the fact that rare monsters are spawning, because they’re just slimes. It’s easy to predict how much stronger they’re going to be too, so we can imagine what’s coming next.
But once the smoke clears, I feel a shiver I’ve experienced a few times, when the pure white slimes appear.
“Everyone be careful!”
I say immediately, and the pure white slimes absorb light before releasing it in one volley.

The flash of light robs us of our vision. It feels like it clashed against the walls in front of us, and they negated each other. We didn’t take damage, but we can’t see. It’s like we just got hit with one of those flash grenades I see in shows and movies.
“Dammit, my eyes are flickering.”
A pain that’s stronger than when I harvested the large golden seeds continues to burn my eyes and head.
My vision is blurry, and I still can practically see nothing!
“Circle Cure Recovery!”
I hear Ayane yell, and the pain disappears and my vision returns.
I blink a few times, and see my eyes are normal.
“Darling, that was a status condition. Are you all right?”
“Yes, thank you. You saved me.”
“Master, here.”
Aira equips me with sunglasses before I respond. She really did get me a pair.
I look in front of me again, and it feels like the slimes can’t use that attack one after the other, because they’re not gathering light. I should check now that I have the chance.

I can’t help but be surprised at these sudden super powered ones. That was too big of a boost from the last ones.
And Aurora Magic? A new type of magic. That was definitely light magic before, but I wonder about the cost… Let’s take them down while they can’t fire another.
“Ayane, Aira. Let’s go with the group battle tactic number one we’ve been putting together!”
“Firing in succession! I’ll do it!”
“And I will distract them.”
Group battle tactic is basically a way for us to deal with fights like when Aira and I fought the Emperor Goblin before.
It’s when there are multiple nasty enemies and we forget about drops for the moment, instead attacking monsters when we can.
Ayane fires two kinds of the big series of magic, and Aira gets behind the monsters to distract them if possible. And I take the monsters down one at a time when I can. It’s about using high firepower to reduce their numbers.
I don’t know if it’s the tactic or if the monsters are spent, but they don’t fire the light again, and we turn the four Huge Prism Slimes into smoke without a problem.
Also, my level jumps from one to eighty-eight, then to ninety-five, ninety-nine, and then a hundred and one.
“Sorry, I’m rolling the gacha again.”

I head to where Aki and Maki are, sit down, and activate Level Gacha.

“Can’t you slip out once you meet the level you need for the gacha?”
I don’t understand what Aki means at first, but I think about it again, and get it. Her idea is to leave the strong enemies to Ayane and Aki once I level up to sixty-one, and roll the gacha.
It could work, but there’s one worry I can’t get over.
“It’s an attractive idea, but sorry. I’m worried about something. Can we talk about that later?”
“Really? Okay, watch yourself.”
