The third day on the third floor.
Yesterday was a bit rough since everyone has that underwear, but I got them to rein it back a little. After all, I’m challenging an opponent I haven’t faced yet. I can’t let myself get exhausted with another battle before this one.
Well then, I haven’t seen the third floor boars directly yet. Well, I saw shadows that looked like them in the distance, but even True Appraisal has limits, so I haven’t gotten a look at their abilities or physique.
There are three places where they spawn, but the area to the south is the widest, with the northwestern one being next, and the north-northeastern one being the smallest. But since I don’t really know their relative positions, I don’t want to just blindly explore the widest area.
And so, we’re heading to the north-northeastern one first.
This is the furthest one, being close to the exit, but… It’s safer this way. I can turn a blind eye to the effort it takes.
“Aki, Maki.”
“Yes?”
“What?”
“Do boar monsters have any annoying abilities?”
“I heard they have some power abilities, but I’m pretty sure they don’t have any gimmicks like snakes.”
“I believe you could see them as stronger versions of killer rabbits and Murder Rabbits.”
“I see… Well, even if we don’t have to be on edge, I’ll be careful not to leave you and charge ahead.”
“Nishihi.”
“Yes, please don’t.”

‘Gogo.’
“Darling, I think we’re almost reaching the boars.”
“Oh, are we? I’ll go down and fight the first one.”
The girls stay in Enki’s hands as I jump down.
I use Hawk Eye while carefully advancing, and see a red dot I think is a boar on the map. It’s behind the tree right in front of me.
I signal with my hand, and observe.
‘Fugo, fugo.’
A short and stout black mass jumps in front of me. It has the body of a normal boar, but it has big sharp tusks coming out of its mouth.
Those tusks point up. Don’t they get in the way of its daily life? That’s terrible dentition. Well, it’s a monster.

That’s pretty high for a base monster. Higher than an orc.
But unlike orcs, these ones don’t come in groups. I check my surroundings with Hawk Eye, but the similar reactions I see are all scattered. I guess if it’s one at a time, the difficulty won’t suddenly jump.
But the poor visibility and footing is what makes it harder.
“First, that charge. Can you take it?”
‘Fugo? Fugogo!’
The fang boar charges towards me the moment it notices me.
“This is what they call a bull charge.”
Is the charge reflecting its Physical Strength and Agility? I thrust with my sword, and leave it on its path.
Bam!
The fang boar doesn’t change its path, and hits the sword with its temple. And it turns into smoke. I wasn’t expecting it to really just charge forward without stopping. I felt some impact on my sword when it hit, but there was basically no threat.
“It has ten Intelligence…”
Leaving aside how unfortunate it is, if you have the stats for it, you don’t even need to swing. But I find it hard to imagine the rare monster doing the same. Maybe I should try to get used to its moves.
“Enki, how about hunting with me?”
‘Goh!’
And so, aside from leaving my sword in its path, I sweep and cut, along with using long range attacks with magic or the bow, trying different things looking for what’s effective. As a result, all of them take the monsters down without a problem and I don’t find a weakness.
“Hm…”
As I think that, Aira giggles after collecting items.
“When you are this strong, every attack will be effective against such an opponent.”
“Really?”
“You would not be able to pierce its head without Physical Strength, or block its charge without Constitution. Without Agility and discernment, you would not succeed in sweeping its legs, and without Dexterity, you would not hit it square in the head.”
“Well… I guess.”
“Yes, that is it.”
By the way, Enki kicks all the charging fang boars like a football.
