Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 29 – Second try

I’m sitting down on the second floor, looking at that forest in my map again. As always, there are no reactions from monsters there. There weren’t any this morning either, so that might be an exclusive spawn point for rare monsters.

But instead, there are reactions from people. What’s that about?

My instincts are raising alarm bells and telling me not to get close.

“Well then, let’s look for a place without any people first.”

I have the levels I need, so I want to roll it as soon as possible.

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

“So there really are other places where murder rabbits can spawn.”

As I fill the four corners of the map, I pick up on another forest that gives me that impression. The first two forests I see look like troublesome places where both goblins and killer rabbits live, but the third is a peaceful forest without any monsters.

I use Swift to go around the forest and fill it on the map, and it really does have an empty space in the middle, just like the other one. I don’t think anyone will come here.

I activate Level Gacha, and press the ten spins button

Clank claaaaaank!

I get one purple ,four reds, and five blue capsules. The same as last time.

I guess now that I’m close to three hundred Luck, I’m guaranteed to get a purple one.

“Swordsmanship!? That’s a strong one for sure. Application application…”

‘The user’s understanding of swords is deepened in proportion to level. It’s theorized that it applies to most weapons called swords. Market price unknown.’

“It’s pretty vague. But I’m guessing from the lack of a price that there aren’t any out there, or maybe there are too few users for them to test it.”

I’m the type that likes to test this sort of unknown thing too, so I understand the pain of whoever wrote this report.

Anyway, let’s just swing my sword.

“Oh…”

It really is hard to put into words what changed. I feel it in my ‘senses’, I think would be the best way to put it.

Next, when I picture the monsters I’ve fought before, I get an image of how to move to counter each one. It’s like my body is automatically simulating how I should move.

Slime, goblins, and killer rabbits. One-on-one, or surrounded by multiple monsters. I feel like now I’ll be able to easily get through situations that would’ve taken me some time before.

I picture one of those muscular hobgoblins, and swing my sword in the air a few times.

I picture one of those lightning fast murder rabbits, and move my sword in tune with its movements.

Sometimes crossing swords with a hobgoblin, sometimes a high speed battle with a murder rabbit. In either case, I see myself having the advantage.

I keep simulating, and start to think about something else.

I never really thought about this before, but I go through it in my head a few times, and I feel like I can probably do it now.

“…All right.”

I walk towards a tree, and swing my sword horizontally.

My target is cut cleanly in two, and the tree goes down while making noise.

I never thought about cutting a tree before getting this skill. Well, I never thought I’d be able to do it, even with the help of Super Strength.

But now that I have this skill, I can predict what the result will be if I swing my sword a certain way. This is a big improvement.

“Understanding the sword… I’ll have to try it during an actual fight next.”

And so, I jump out of the forest.

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

Woosh woosh!

Zah!

Zah!

I swing my sword almost like I’m cutting grass, and a killer rabbit’s head hits the ground.

They were too small for me to take out in one hit while using swift, like I do with goblins. But now that I have Swordsmanship, I know how to position my body to swing my sword well, and automatically move in an optimal way.

And that killer rabbit was the hundredth one.

It lets out smoke, and it flies into the forest in front of me.

I use Swift to expertly dodge trees and weeds, as I run as fast as the smoke, and once it reaches the open area, the smoke instantly clears, and it appears.

Apparently there’s a time delay until the rare monster comes out, depending on what kind of rare monster it is.

“Hey there, haven’t seen you since yesterday. Let’s try this again.”

“Giiiih!!”

Is it out for revenge too?

It lets out a piercing scream, and disappears. It got into one of my blind spots.

“Here?”

Slash!

“Giih!?”

I saw that attack yesterday too, so I’m not falling for it again.

I fling its horns up with a swing of my sword, and roundhouse kick it in the lower jaw.

Now that I can use Swift, I can picture how it’s going to move the moment it starts. I don’t even need to use Foresight, I can see it.

Swift is a skill that increases the running speed, but fundamental stuff like jumping aren’t affected. Because of that, when I try to turn at a right angle, I end up having to slow down. And then I have to run at my regular speed until I accelerate again.

And so, I can read its movements naturally if it’s not coming straight at me and I pay attention to both sides. That still wouldn’t be a problem for it if it had high agility, but… Sadly for the murder rabbit, its Agility doesn’t seem to be that high.

“I’m going to be fighting stronger monsters, so I need to be able to deal with your speed even without using Foresight.”

“Gyuu!”

“Come. Show me your speed some more!”

Ten minutes later, and after clashing fiercely here in this open area, the difference between us is clear.

The murder rabbit’s horns are broken in places, with one being bent from the root. As for me, I’m breathing a little heavily, but I’m not really hurt.

My sword is in perfect condition too, and letting out an even brighter captivating light.

The murder rabbit goes down, and turns into smoke. It was a good training partner.

【Level up】

【Leveled up from twelve to twenty-seven】

“It takes about seven minutes to disappear completely. I guess it really does depend on the level of the monster.”

Despite its horns being in tatters, it drops two pristine ones. Plus its fur, a medium magic stone, and a Swift skill orb.

“I’ll use this to assure Maki’s exclusivity.”

I kind of want to use it to get swift II, but I put it in my bag, because I should take one with me before I do that.
