I think it was strong, but it still went down pretty easily. Is this because multiple people worked together to beat it… Not bad. Maybe it would’ve taken ten or twenty minutes of running around if I was alone. My sword can’t break through magic iron, even if there are openings.
Ayane’s magic is powerful, and Aira’s dagger has scary penetration power. It even went through magic iron without much resistance…
I know she’s strong too, but just how sharp is that thing…
“Darling! We did it!”
“Yes, good job Ayane. And thanks for the support, Aira.”
“I only did what I should.”
I pick up the fourth Super Strength II of the day before we go back.
But first, I turn to where it died.
The powered up Hobgoblin turned to smoke the moment it died.
That means the next rare monster doesn’t spawn if it’s a powered up one. Does that mean it’s impossible to make a powered up General Goblin spawn? Or is it that after being able to make the second rare monster spawn for sure, I can beat powered up ones in all four corners, and then the powered up version of the second rare monster will spawn after I take down another one of the powered up first rare monster…?
It’s tickling my curiosity, but I don’t have the stamina for that now. Not to mention that I would have a hard time fighting a powered up Hobgoblin if I was alone anyway. Oh well, there’s no rush.
Now it’s time for gacha.
Clank claaaaaank!
I get two purples, five reds, and three blues.

‘70/120 remaining’
Is that forty levels of growth just today? Forty times four is a hundred sixty levels worth. Normally that would put me about on par with Aira’s level, if my growth values weren’t so poor.
And all my stats are over five hundred thanks to Command, not to mention that Luck is over a thousand. I think I could finally be an intermediary rank.
And the drops… I knew it, magic iron grieves. Let’s equip them…
“These don’t seem that strong when you’re around, Aira.”
My confidence in this thing’s toughness is wavering.
“Please rest assured knowing I won’t turn against you.”
“Well yes, but…”
“Darling. Aira’s weapon is an ‘artifact’ from a high rank dungeon. Magic iron is at best intermediary dungeon class. You shouldn’t fret too much.”
Artifact… I’m pretty sure that’s what they call weapons that can’t be replicated, and have special powers.
I’d like one too… But I don’t think it’s the sort of thing you can get for a hundred million.
“…Yes, I shouldn’t worry so much.”
I pat Ayane’s head. It’s almost like I’m petting a puppy…
Yes, she’s also important to me at this point. Maybe it’s because fate has set its eyes on her, but I don’t want to think about her going with someone else. I’ll keep protecting her.
“Let’s stop hunting for today. But I still want to fill the map, so follow me for a bit longer.”
“Yes!”
“Very well.”
And so, I check on the map the places where the other two kinds of monsters appear, and fill the center, that was blank.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
After filling the second floor’s map, I can’t stop thinking about the spawn points of the other two monsters, while making my way from the first floor to the association.
Wolves live in a hilly area, and golems in a rocky area.
Golems are very hard monsters to fight if you don’t have magic, so that’s probably why I didn’t see anyone there. Or golems for that matter. They were probably disguising themselves as rocks.
But the problem was the wolves. I’ve been avoiding the hilly area, so I didn’t know, but there were multiple teams in two out of the four spots. The other two are far from the first floor, but it gets me wondering how I’m going to hunt rare monsters there.
I can’t just claim I have priority, but if they don’t listen to me, worst case scenario, people could die. Even if I hunt them in the empty areas, I’d have to beat rare monsters in every spot to spawn a powered up one. Hm, that’s a problem.
Conversely, it will probably be easy with the golems on that front… But I have to take down a hundred of them. I’ve never fought one, but I assume they’re tough.

That’s how strong wolves are, but I only saw them in packs. I assume every fight will be against a pack. Should I have Ayane learn Adamantine Armor just to be sure?
“Here we are, darling.”
“Hn? Ah, we’re here already.”
“Fufu, do you have plans for tomorrow?”
“I’m still thinking about it.”
“I see. Hum, can we go with you again tomorrow?”
“Yes, I don’t mind. Will you help me?”
“Yes!”
She hugs me, and I pat her.
“Shouta…?”
Then I see Maki with a dark smile…
“Ah, Maki. I’m back.”
“…Welcome back.”
She looks cute when angry, and it makes me want to give her a big hug, but…
“Hey, is that the slime hunter?”
“He’s with a girl despite having Maki!?”
“How dare he…”
“I’ll take you down if you make her cry.”
“…”
Let’s not. Too many onlookers.
I take Maki’s hand instead, and we head to the conference room.
I guess I’m attracting considerable jealousy, and I can hear yells behind me, but… I ignore them.

Ah… now I’m stuck on waiting hell
Thanks for the treat.
