Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 78 – Archer

Ten minutes later, the smoke is completely gone.

I don’t know if I’m lucky or not, but the next one doesn’t appear.

“Master, it seems regular monsters stop spawning for a while after a Boss Wolf is taken down.”

Says Aira, while I look around with caution.

“Yes, apparently. It’s gotten pretty quiet.”

“These are the drops from the Boss Wolf. What should be done with them?”

She says after quickly collecting them.

“Hn… I’m curious about the effects of Command II, but if I’m going to use it, its effects should be reflected more on me and you. That means Ayane should learn it, so let’s save it. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to sell them if we get a lot of them too.”

“Then I will store it.”

“Thanks. Let’s go after the second one then.”

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

After hunting again in the second location, the second Boss Wolf goes down. Also, I had to take down a hundred of the normal wolves. I guess rare monsters are also treated as special monsters.

【Level up】

【Leveled up from thirty to thirty-six】

And because of the thing called ‘low level compensation’, my level doesn’t go up too much. And there’s no next rare monster either.

Maybe the strength of the rare monster also influences the odds of the next one appearing.

Hobgoblins are level fifteen.

Golden Worms are level eighteen.

Murder Rabbits are level twenty.

Boss Wolves are level twenty-three.

Even Hobgoblins only spawn the next one about fifty percent of the time. I assume Boss Wolves are even lower.

Speaking of low odds, I haven’t gotten an item from the gacha either. Even UR has only come out four times. Pretty stringy.

Will this change as my Luck goes up?

We get to the third spot, a place near the third floor. There usually aren’t any people here, but today is different.

Thankfully, there are a lot of monsters near this crater, so adventurers aren’t coming here, but…

“Aira, there are six people near the entrance to the third floor, but will that have an effect?”

“Are you concerned with the Command effect of its howl reaching outside the crater? Unfortunately, I have no information about that. I don’t know if it targets only the wolves it calls, or if it affects an area…

We should see how good these adventurers are just in case. In the unlikely case that they do get powered up, they might be overwhelmed if they are having trouble as it is.”

“Yes, you’re right.”

The outer part of the hilly area borders the flat area. Because of this, not many monsters appear there, so we decide to go there to see this group.

There are six people who seem to be one team, and they’re in the middle of fighting three wolves.

“Tank, the two in front!”

“Ou!”

“Sub tank, take out the one behind with the attacker!”

There are two guys with big iron swords and shields, so they look like heavy warriors. Two swordsmen, and a guy holding a staff that looks to be their leader. And there’s one female archer in the back.

Long-range weapons… They’re hard to use if you don’t focus on Dexterity, but they can be turned into a competitive technique, and they allow people to not have to fight in front. Is that why they’re so popular with women…?

Still…

“Do teams always call out to each other like that?”

“No, that is probably a hastily put together team. When they are used to fighting together, teams keep the vocal instructions to a minimum. And they use each other’s names, not their jobs. They are doing it like that so everyone can understand.”

“I see. What do you think of that team?”

“Their strength should be sufficient. I assume they are here after Fast Run, or they are training before heading to the third floor.”

Come to think of it, I’ve been seeing six people here since we got to the second floor. Have they been hunting here this whole time?

“I see.”

There are teams that move as a cohesive unit, but also people who recruit others to make a team, and need to work like that. Come to think of it, I never needed to do that with Ayane or Aira. Right after we became a team, they were able to pinpoint what I wanted.

They’re so great at this, that even a total beginner at this sort of thing like me never had trouble.

“Well, if they’re not having trouble, that’s fine. Let’s go, Aira.”

“Understood.”

We turn back and continue hunting hill wolves. They never even knew we were watching.

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

We’re fighting a Boss Wolf.

“Doryah!”

“Gyahin!”

I dodge an attack from the Boss Wolf, and slash its throat with a counterattack. It really is hard to take it down with one hit without Super Strength II, and it stumbles away to take distance.

But with its Constitution, that’s enough to leave it at death’s door. The next attack should easily finish it.

I step forward, feeling like this is basically assembly line work at this point, when suddenly something passes by me.

“Gyan!”

“…Ah?”

There’s an arrow on the Boss Wolf’s forehead.

It collapses, and smoke comes out of its body.

【Level up】

【Leveled up from thirty-six to thirty-nine】

I leveled up, so it’s dead. But what was that attack?

I don’t get it, but while I look on dumbfounded, I suddenly hear a shout behind me.

“Aha, I leveled up so much. Lucky!”

“Ah, not fair! I should’ve attacked too.”

“…Ah?”

I look back, and see four of the people from that team standing on the edge of the crater.

Among them is the archer girl, with a triumphant look on her face.
