Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 90 – Contents of the treasure chest

It’s completely black inside the gold treasure chest, and that’s all I see.

I look around, as if asking the others what this is all about, but they also look surprised.

“Hum… So is the punchline that it’s actually empty a thing with treasure chests?”

“…N-no Shouta. This is different!”

“Jackpot! Jackpot!!”

“Eh?”

“Boy, just how blessed by luck are you? Even I have only seen a few of these!”

“Eeh??”

Darkness is a jackpot?

Uh??

Everyone’s excited, but no one’s giving me answers. Come on, someone tell me what’s going on.

Aira has some emotion in her usually emotionless face, but she kindly explains.

“Master, this is the same condition as my bag.”

“So…”

“Yes. There is either an amount of something that should not fit this treasure chest, or something too big to fit in it.”

“Ooh…!”

This treasure chest is fifty centimeters tall, wide, and long, so I figured I wasn’t getting weapons or equipment from it, but apparently there’s a gimmick. This might be how artifacts like Aira’s come about.

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but my weapon came from the higher ranking platinum treasure chest. I assume it won’t be an artifact.”

“I-I see…”

That’s kind of a shame, but it’s something else to look forward to. After all, I still have treasure chests to find.

“So how do I take it out?”

“You stick your hand inside like I normally do, and the item will be close to your hand.”

I do as Aira says, and touch something hard. Is this it?

I grab it, and suddenly feel myself brimming with strength. I remember this feeling, it’s like when Ayane and Aira first learned Command.

…Is that the effect of whatever it is I grabbed?

I pull it out, and finally see it.

“…Eh!?”

It’s shining but…!? Is this feeling… Anyway, True Appraisal!

Name: Magic bow Kaiser Vein

Weapon level: Thirty-eight

“…An artifact.”

Who said that? Aki? Maki? Ryuu?

Maybe Aira? I mean, she’s not even trying to hold her emotionless face anymore.

“Aira, you said artifacts wouldn’t…”

“I-I apologize master. I was too short-sighted…”

I was joking, but Aira bows deeply.

“Sorry, that was just a joke. Raise your head.”

“This is incredible, Amachi. A gold treasure chest called forth something like this, on the first floor no less…”

“Hahaha… But the name of the weapon is kaiser… Won’t it drop for anyone who takes down a few Emperor Goblins?”

I don’t actually know.

“Shouta, weapons with the names of rare monsters drop veeery rarely.”

“In fact, most items that come out of treasure chests have nothing to do with rare monsters.”

“I-I see…”

“Yes. Aren’t you thinking this artifact isn’t one you can use?”

“!?”

Is Maki a mind reader?

Yes, it’s faster to swing a sword, and there’s a limit to how many arrows you can carry. You can carry a few dozens, but I take down over ten times the amount of monsters. Asking Aira to restock when I run out would be annoying too, and it’s overall easier to not carry arrows.

“You’re very easy to understand. Yes, if you used a bow, it would just add more things for you to carry. There’s little merit. But don’t underestimate artifacts.”

“Shouta, this is a magic bow, so it probably doesn’t use arrows. You can fire as much as you want as long as you have magic energy.”

“Really!?”

That changes everything.

I guess it depends on how much magic energy each shot drains, but let’s take today’s Emperor Goblin for example.

We couldn’t let that vicious monster alone, so I fought it while Aira took out the weaker ones. But if I had a way to chip away at their forces with precision, I could take some distance the moment it spawned, and easily taken out its army.

And then once it ran out of magic energy and couldn’t call for reinforcements, it would’ve been easy to finish it.

I’ve only fought up close, but this bow should expand my options.

And there’s also the fact that my magic energy is replenished when I level up. I have Magic Energy Recovery Lv2 as well, so this weapon might be a big deal…!

“Hum, Ryuu…”

“Yes, I will take you to the training area.”

“Thank you. For everything.”

“Kahkahkah! You’re excited about your new weapon. It’s like that exhaustion from before is gone, right? Don’t worry, I’m a man too.”

“Geez, all right. We’ll go with you.”

“Yes, but take it easy. Don’t forget that you’re just as tired as before.”

“Yes, thanks.”

We’re taken to a training area in the basement of this branch.

The association provides targets, but an artifact of this level destroys them with a few shots, so I use the steel equipment I got today as targets. I got a bunch of it anyway.

And as I expected, this along with the high level equipment means that if I put my strength into it, it pierces even steel.

I fire two hundred shots to get used to it, but I don’t feel the exhaustion that comes from running out of magic energy. But most of the steel equipment I got today is pretty much scrap, and Ryuu says I overdid it.

Did I? I was just going for light jabs…
