Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 99 – A magic type rare monster

We once again get ready to fight, but it doesn’t look like the Golden Swallowtail Butterfly is going to move. It’s a troublesome opponent, with those scales and shine that take away the will to fight, but is that all it has? Even if it’s not an active type of monster, it’s easygoing even compared to Golden Worms.

It’s hard to tell because of the scales, but I think it also activated Adamantine Armor when it spawned. It feels like its whole body is covered in a shine.

That means my first attack should be throwing a rock.

“Oryah!”

But then, strong wind makes the rock lose its speed, and it falls on the ground.

“…!?”

What was that? It didn’t feel like Adamantine Armor.

Then… Was it its Wind Magic? So that light of an attack won’t remove its armor?

“Fireball!”

The ball of fire hits the armor. Now if we get between that period of invincibility…

“What!?”

The Adamantine Armor is fine, even though I’m sure that attack hit it.

“It’s III, not II…”

And the monster is still hovering. Is It looking down on me?

“Master, what should we do?”

“Instructions please!”

“Hit it with magic! Focus on numbers and not power! Aira, attack its wings from behind! Bring it down.”

“Yes!”

“Understood.”

Ayane fires balls of fire and wind intermittently, and I also get close while firing magic. The monster is flying, but only two meters from the ground. Aira and I can reach it if we jump.

I attack while watching its movements, and when I hear the noise of something snapping off, the armor disappears.

Did the effect of II trigger multiple times? I’m curious, but we need to smack this thing down to the ground first!

“Aira!”

“Yes!”

We both jump, one behind and one in front of it. My sword cuts into its torso, and Aira’s blade opens some holes in its wing. A golden fluid starts gushing.

“Kii!?”

Now that it’s wounded, it’s finally looking at us.

This idiot was too carefree.

Still…

“I was half expecting it because it is so golden, but its voice is unbearable.”

“I agree.”

I guess it makes sense for it to be so shrill.

“Kiiiiii!!”

It starts rampaging in the air, like it heard us and it’s angry.

Wind gathers around it, and a green gale forms. It’s coming after… Me.

“It’s a level four Windstorm!”

I hear Ayane yell, and look at it again. If it was just wind, I could brace and endure it, but my Intuition is screaming at me that it’s dangerous.

I can’t let it hit me!!

“Fast Run III, Swift II!”

Dodging wind is not normally something one can do, but it has color because it was formed with magic. It has the size and force to easily swallow even a large animal, and it passes right by me.

I manage to avoid a direct hit by jumping to the side because it’s flying straight.

Its power is made evident through the trees behind me. After the gale passes, the forest is gone.

“Seriously…”

They weren’t blown away by the wind, they were cut by something unseen, leaving the remains where a forest was. I can see a field of flowers in the distance, so it didn’t reach that far.

It’s a good thing we’re in a corner of the map, so the damage didn’t reach people, but I’m thinking I may have underestimated this thing.

It used that trick with the scales, but that’s not all it has. With a level of less than fifty, it’s not like a weak first floor monster.

Come to think of it, all the rare monsters I’ve fought so far were vanguard types. They used swords, or their own claws or fangs to attack. I got overconfident from hitting them directly and beating them.

But now, I’m facing for the first time a rare monster that focuses on magic. And I’m seeing how brutal their attacks can be.

“Master, pull yourself together!”

“…!”

I hear Aira, and focus.

It’s smaller than the last one, but something like a blade of wind concentrated into a ball passes over my head.

“Sorry.”

“It’s fine, but judging by this attack, it seems its magic power has diminished quite a bit. Perhaps it’s hard to fire one after the other, so let us attack it.”

Yes, its Magic Power was on the smaller side with four hundred. It probably fired a small version of that vicious attack just to put me down.

I feel like its movements are duller, so this monster might be bad with prolonged fights.

There’s also a good chance that Adamantine Armor III and that scale attack sapped its magic energy too.

“Let’s keep attacking. Aira, keep targeting the wings, and Ayane, burn it!”

“Leave it to me.”

“You got it!”

We keep attacking, completely locking its attacks.

The scales are nullified by the masks, the armor has been removed, and I even dodged the wind. If I was in its place, I’d be out of options.

Its low Constitution means it’s soft, but its high Agility means neither I or Ayane can deal a killing blow. But…

“Checkmate.”

“Kiiii!!”

Aira attacks it from behind, and cuts one of its wings down.

“Nice!”

No matter how high its Agility is, its mobility is bound to suffer without a wing.

“Let’s finish it!!”

Slash!!

The Golden Swallowtail Butterfly is cut in half, and turns into golden particles as it disappears.
