Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 147 – Beast warrior

‘Gyain!’

After I slay a Boss Wolf in one hit, we suppress the hill wolves that were drawn by its howl.

“Master.”

“Hn, what is it?”

“I understand that your Luck is far beyond the average adventurer.”

“Yes.”

“However, I did not imagine this chain of fights would yield so many Fast Run orbs.”

“Hum… How many?”

“Twenty-three.”

“Uwah…”

I’m a little taken aback, because this is still just the first set of a hundred.

Aira lets me peek inside her bag, and I see it’s honestly a mess, with all the stuff we got from what we hunted yesterday too.

Strangely, unlike the dark treasure chest I saw before, I can see inside Aira’s bag. I’m sure someone who isn’t familiar with this would be baffled by how impossibly deep it is.

“You’ve gathered a lot.”

“It was as you wished.”

Come to think of it, I did casually say I wanted to see how many drops we could get in two days in the dungeon. It looks like this will put more of a burden on Maki and Aki, but they always look so fired up when they’re working.

But still, since it looks like a big burden, maybe I’ll help them.

Well then, let’s think about what to do with Fast Run.

Each one would be cheap if I sold them, considering how many there are. Maybe I should sell them or use them after putting them together.

“Hn… Using Compression on all of them would take some time. Let’s leave them to the end.”

“Understood.”

As we talk, the rare monster smoke vanishes, and the Boss Wolf’s drops remain.

It looks like the next rare monster isn’t coming.

“Onto the next one.”

It doesn’t appear after the Boss Wolves in the second and third spots either, and we arrive at the final hilly area.

There are people here, but it looks like they know me, and they gladly open a path for us. They’re hunting around the crater, and we’re going to be hunting in the crater, so we won’t actually see each other, but it’s important to say hello.

After what happened last time, I make sure to talk to people if they’re already here. I want to avoid any unnecessary trouble, and I don’t feel good about leaving this sort of diplomatic stuff to the girls.

And then, the fourth Boss Wolf goes down easily.

The third one took me to level fifty-eight, but at this level, it takes three of them to level up once… Harsh. I’m still putting it on Luck, but let’s see how it goes.

I’m not after the second rare monster, I’m after the powered up version, so it’s okay if it doesn’t spawn here, but I want to be able to roll the gacha while I’m at it.

What if it doesn’t come out… Well, there’s going to be a powered up one, so I’m sure everything will work out in terms of my level.

“Darling, will it come out this time?”

“I wonder. Even as my Luck gets higher, as long as the chance isn’t a hundred percent, there will be times when this happens. Even if it’s seventy-five percent, there will be times when a lot spawns, and times when nothing comes out.”

“And this is the latter.”

“Have we gone too far up?”

“I don’t know, but in the end, we can’t really reach any conclusions if we don’t know exactly how much Luck is needed.”

After I say that, the smoke in front of us starts to gather.

“…Oh, it’s coming!”

Aira and I jump in front of Ayane to protect her.

It’s a bipedal wolf with jet black fur all over its body, and golden shining eyes. It’s holding weapons and wearing equipment you wouldn’t expect from a beast like that.

Well, I guess it’s not really a wolf anymore if it’s walking on two legs. Is it more like a werewolf?

It’s looking directly at us, and takes a deep breath.

‘Waooooon!!’

“Guh!?”

“Uu!”

“Kyah!”

The Werewolf yells loudly, and gives me an unpleasant feeling like my head is being violently shaken. It’s like it was hit with a blunt weapon. My vision is blurry, and my legs shaky.

The Werewolf’s face twists evilly, and it licks its lips.

“Kuh…”

I shake off the headache and face forward, and see it opening its mouth widely and running this way.

‘Gah!!’

Oh no!!

“…Waoooohh!!”

‘!?’

As I fall into unconsciousness, I face the Werewolf and yell as loud as I can to fire myself up.

This time, it’s the monster that’s surprised by my yell, and I can see all its fur standing on end. Since it’s running, it gets its legs tangled up, and slides head first.

It looks like I stunned it.

‘Gu… Gaah!!’

“Shut up!”

It gets up on its two legs and clashes against me, its claws and my swords hitting.

Clang! Cling!

‘Gaaaah!!’

“Uoooo!!”

The Werewolf’s attacks are fast, going above the Shell Knight’s handling of its spear. On top of that, it has basic skills and main skills. It’s like a brawler specialized in pure hand-to-hand fighting.

Its techniques are very sharp, and it manages to hold its own against me, despite me having higher level skills.

Clank, clank!

Still, my stats are several times higher, so even if it’s a lot better than me on the technical side, I can overwhelm it with power. And with the feedback of Perception II on top of that, trading blows a few times is enough for me to start feeling like I’m on top.

But that’s all of my advantages.

The monster has quite a bit of stamina, and seems to like to get up close, so if I make it look like I’m taking even a bit of distance, it valiantly steps forward to take the initiative.

There’s no point where we take some distance and feel each other out, as this is an annoying enemy that attacks without rest.

“Hmph!”

‘Gah!?’

And so, I kick it like I’m weaving between the sword and claw attacks, and force it to leave some distance.

“Ahh…”

‘Grrr.’

Like Ayane said yesterday, skills are typically the result of months of training, that become part of your power after diligent training and honing them. And then there’s me, who keeps getting them one after the other with no time for training. Basically, I don’t have full command of them, and I’m only using them in a superficial way.

It’s very important to know that if I could use them to their fullest, I could bring out as much power as the Werewolf even at a low level and stats.

I feel like one of these days, before I hit a wall, I should take a break from dungeons and work on training, but… Thankfully, I also have partners I can rely on.

‘Gah!!’

“Is the break over?”

The Werewolf attacks me again, and we clash.

I keep fighting until my stamina is at its limit, in order to better myself.
