“Eh? What’s that?”
“Shouta, what is it?”
Aki and and Maki are drawn by Ayane’s cheers, and I tell them what’s going on when they come see it.
“Ah, so the magic stone in the skill name is actually golem cores.”
“So basically, Shouta’s skill could actually be called Golem Production. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a skill.”
Say Aki and then Maki, looking at the small golem with a lot of interest.
…Come to think of it, does this have a name? Will it show me if I check?
“True Appraisal.”
Name: Sand Golem
Grade: Rare
Description: A virtual life form created using twenty magic energy. It can move semipermanently if given magic energy, obeys orders, and fights. Its abilities and volume depend on the magic energy given.
“So its name is just what it is. Still, its performance changes depending on the magic energy.”
Then these ones over here…
Name: Golem core
Grade: Rare
Description: Serves to store magic energy gathered around it, and is embedded with functions using the power of the element attributed to it. Can hold a maximum of a hundred magic energy.
Name: Golem core II
Grade: Epic
Description: Serves to store magic energy gathered around it, and is embedded with functions using the power of the element attributed to it. Can hold a maximum of four hundred magic energy.
Name: Golem core IV
Grade: Unique
Description: Serves to store magic energy gathered around it, and is embedded with functions using the power of the element attributed to it. Can hold a maximum of sixteen hundred magic energy.
Houhou.
I pour magic energy into another golem core, get more sand, and create a slightly bigger sand golem. Apparently I can change their sizes, and shrink this one so it’s as small as the first one.
I’m happy with the result, and tell everyone what I saw on True Appraisal.
“Can you make it bigger, darling?”
“Like the ones on the second floor? I think I can, but I don’t have enough sand or dirt.”
“Too bad…”
I pat the disappointed Ayane, and infuse as much magic energy as I can. It’s best to have its performance maxed out instead of doing it in a half-hearted way.
Then I use True Appraisal again, and see it really does have a hundred magic energy.
I’m happy to see it worked, but then Aki, who was deep in thought, smiles about something. I think she came up with an idea.
“Hey Shouta, if this description is right, you don’t have to use sand, right? There’s another element you can control.”
“…Water!? Ah, but…”
“What’s the problem?”
“The skill level. Sand Control is Lv4, so I can control it without having to mind the distance and quantity, but Water Current Control is Lv1. It can pretty much only move water that I’m touching.”
“I see. But that doesn’t matter when you make golems, right? You have all the water you need from the tap. And if it came to that, you have Water Magic.”
“Y-yes! And you can create all the dirt you need with Earth Magic! We don’t know it, but you have Basic Elemental Magic.”
I see, using it with other skills.
It’s true, I might be able to use it to create a golem anywhere. Magic isn’t something that disappears after I use it for an attack.
But…
“It’s an interesting idea, but using Earth Magic would make the house dirty, so let’s not do it today.”
“Disappointed!”
“But water… Let’s use the bath, so it’s okay if it gets dirty.”
And so, I create two Clean Water Golems. However, it looks like it’s hard for them to maintain their shapes, probably because the skill level is too low. They’re constantly unsettled.
…Or maybe that’s just how water golems are.
“““Cute!”””
Everyone likes them, so it’s okay.
I could create more golems, but it feels like they’d be hard to manage, and it’s easier to get attached if there are fewer. I’ll keep two of each for now, and keep an eye out for what they can do. It looks like I’m the one who gets to give orders, but I can tell them to listen to the girls.
And so, Aki and Maki take a Clean Water Golem each, and Ayane and Aira a Sand Golem.
“I’ll take good care of River.”
“It can move well, so it should be able to do housework. I will think of you and cherish it, master.”
“…Don’t do anything weird.”
Wait, Ayane already named it? River because it’s like river sand? Is it a pun on leviathan? It’s a sand golem.
“This one feels nice and cool when I hug it.”
“Yes. It looks like a nice hugging pillow.”
Aki and Maki are burying the Clean Water Golems in their chests. I’m kind of jealous.
“Ah, but what about one for you, Shouta?”
Asks Maki.
“Me?”
Come to think of it, they each have one, but I…
Maybe I can use the golem core IV to make one that can fight in the dungeon, but I don’t need one for my personal life.
“I have you all, so I don’t need it.”
I say, and I feel hot stares coming my way. I look away because I’m feeling a little awkward, and think of a way to change the subject.
“A-ah… I’m getting hungry.”
“Fufu, yes. I’ll get dinner ready.”
“I will put my best skills into making it.”
“I’ll help too, haven’t done that in a while.”
“I’ll do my best too!”
They say as they head to the kitchen.
But the golems stay behind, looking up at me like they have something to say.
“Hn? What?”
They give me a thumbs up, and follow the girls.
You guys definitely have feelings.
