My two high mithril swords shine brightly as flames envelop their blades, illuminating the cave and slime.

I slash the approaching Huge Blue Slime with both swords in a cross, ripping it like scissors. The Physical Resistance skill caught my eye, and while it does feel like it’s a bit hard for my sword to pass through, it’s not like it doesn’t work.
‘Shhhhh.’
That would’ve finished a normal monster, but this one slowly puts itself back together, joining the two sections that were cut. Is this Automatic Recovery at work? What a troublesome skill… What would happen if I got it?
“Master, let us attack it and finish it in one go. There are more waiting.”
“Yes. We don’t have time to dilly-dally.”

It looks like they can be defeated like regular slime by slashing at their center.
That’s one down, and the other goes down without a problem too…
“Big Fireball!”
With some magic mixed in there, I take out a total of five Huge Big Slimes. I level up from thirty-two to forty-eight, but feel something’s off when I take a breather.
Normally Aira would be collecting items, but something isn’t right about her.
“Oh? The drops?”
“Master… The corpses are not disappearing.”
“Eh?”
I look back, and see smoke coming out of the five Huge Blue Slimes and enveloping them.The way it’s acting and the fact that the girls can’t see it leads me to only one conclusion.
“Watch out, the next ones are coming!”
The five separate smokes well up, and big slimes of a different color comes out.

The aqua blue slimes go down, and my level goes up to fifty-four. The smoke bursts out again, and after a few minutes, wells up. Then the next color emerges.

I say to Aira with a battle cry as I attack the big green group.
Their levels and stats are going up, but they’re slimes. They’re easy to deal with compared to humanoid monsters. Their skills are not changing, they’re just getting a bit tougher, so they’re not going to give us trouble.
The five big green slimes go down, and my level goes up to fifty-six.

After the reds and purples go down without issue, my level goes up to fifty-nine and then to sixty-one.
Despite the fact that I’m taking down five at a time, my growth isn’t very good. Most likely because they’re slimes.
They’re weak to begin with, so it doesn’t matter if their levels are high, they’re still going to give less exp than other rare II monsters.
“I’m going to step back a little and roll the gacha. Tell me if more spawn.”
