As the three of us talk, I notice that the girl that usually comes charging at me hasn’t left her room since after breakfast.
I go see what’s going on, and find her sitting on the edge of her bed completely still, like she’s deep in thought.
“Ayane, I’m coming in.”
“…Ah, darling.”
“Are you scared of going there?”
“Maybe? I don’t really know.”
Oh? So she’s not shrinking back in fear.
“The problem is that I really can’t get a read on what my mother and those people will do. Your value has skyrocketed since I met you. I managed to get to you before them because at the time, you were just a curious person who through his efforts grew his Luck.
That was all there was to it, but your recent efforts have all but guaranteed you’ll be A+ rank.”
“Yes. My value really did explode all of a sudden.”
“Darling, you haven’t used Level Gacha since we returned, right?”
“Yes. I’ve been away from dungeons, so I haven’t even activated it. I’m still over level two hundred.”
“I see… We might be able to use this.”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know about my mother, but those other people value levels a lot. And if we were to talk about your level, and it was around fifty, it would seem you’re about as strong as you were at the time.”
I have Appraisal Camouflage, but there’s no guarantee they won’t see through it.
“If your level is low, they will underestimate you and think you’re easy to control. But over level two hundred, they will think it won’t be so easy to take you.”
“At level two hundred, I’m above where Aira was when I met her. But it doesn’t matter what they think, I’m going to keep my party members.”
I’m not thinking about bringing new people, much less go under someone else.
“You say that, but they don’t care what we think. Once they underestimate you, they will start to cajole you and bother you. So please keep this in mind as a way for them to not underestimate you.”
“I see. If you say so, I’ll keep it in mind. But let’s talk to the others before doing anything.”
“Yes.”
“Still, you’re scared about going home because you’re worried about me, right?”
“Of course. You sought me so much that night. As a fiancee and future wife, I have to be able to match your feelings.”
I’m lucky I met her.

“How is it?”
“Perfect, master.”
After a light lunch, we start getting ready for the welcome party, and Aira helps me put on a suit.
“I’ve never worn one of these. It must have taken you some time to get it, right?”
“Actually, we all did it. We ordered multiple suits and bought one after choosing.”
“Ordered? When…”
Wouldn’t I have noticed that happening?
“While we were traveling, and you were busy learning the basics of that martial arts, master.”
“I see.”
“We also bought the ladies’ dresses. Are you excited to see them?”
“Yes… And what about yours, Aira?”
“Me? I am a maid.”
Says Aira with her chest puffed out with pride. It’s a bit late to think about this strange pride she has in being a maid, but…
“This welcome party is to acknowledge my engagement with Ayane, but it’s also to announce I have other fiances. That’s why Aki and Maki are coming, but that includes you too.
I want you to put on a dress too… But I guess it’s too late.”
“No master, don’t worry. I have prepared a dress.”
“Uh?”
“I never said I did not have it.”
“…”
You…
“However, I am very happy that you feel that way. I lost this bet. I am glad the ladies talked me down.”
Hahan.
So if they didn’t… And if I didn’t say this now, she would have worn her maid outfit?
“What a bad bet. Don’t you think you don’t have enough awareness that you’re one of my fiances?”
“…Perhaps. But master…”
Aira pushes me, and I fall on the bed.
“Won’t you make a maid with such low awareness understand?”
“No, you’re the one on top.”
Later the girls find out Aira ‘squeezed’ me, and give us a good scolding.
