‘Gogo!’
“Kyah! It’s fast it’s fast!”
“Hahaha!”
“This is quite refreshing.”
We’re riding Enki, dashing through the second floor at full speed. It’s holding Aira and Ayane carefully, and I’m sitting on its shoulders.
Aira got me a leather strap for me to use like I’m riding a horse.
Enki can speak, but not breathe, so it doesn’t seem to have a problem with the strap being in its mouth.
“The Riding skill is finally useful.”
“Oh? Do you not use it every day?”
“…No, you’re mostly on top.”
“D-darling, I…”
“Ayane, don’t force yourself to get in on this.”
“Auu…”
‘Go?’
The atmosphere is lax as we run while avoiding paths with people. What would we even say to someone if they saw us? There are skills to tame monsters, but they haven’t been found in this country yet.
“Worry not, master.”
“Really?”
Of course Aira has a plan.
“Just be brazen about it. You are rank A and have several branch managers behind you. No one would pry.”
“Ah, I see… So just throw my weight around.”
But if we’re going to show it off to others, we should make Enki look better.
At three meters tall, it’s still on the smaller side of giants. It should be able to reach the height of a Giant Rock Golem and beyond, if the Sand Control skill is leveled up.
I’m looking forward to it.
“Darling, I can see the next golem area!”
“Then let’s hunt!”
Aira acts as bait again to gather the golems, and Enki and I each take half of them.
And the result…
“…Nothing wrong with the monster drops. And the rare monster smoke is coming. So the dungeon does treat what golems made by me took down as if I was the one who took them down.”
‘Go!’
“I figured as much, but it really is incredible. I am somewhat curious about if it has any drawbacks…”
“I agree, but we don’t have to mind that for now.”
“But since we cannot say for certain that there are no pitfalls, should you not hold back on making more?”
“Darling, don’t overdo it.”
“I know. Thanks for your concern.”
“Hehehe.”
“That is our job.”
I hug both. Ayane lets herself be pampered, and Aira looks away in embarrassment while clearing her throat.
“…Ahem. We have proof of Enki’s usefulness, so it should speed up your job in places like the second floor of the Heart Dungeon, where monsters are clumped together.”
“And it should be good on the first floor of the high rank dungeon.”
“And in some other spots like the hill wolves here, the mid rank dungeon, and the one in the outskirts!”
Yes, it opens up a lot of things to do.
“That’s because Enki is so good. It’s great!”
‘Goh! Goh!’
Enki raises both arms. It’s big, but it’s still cute.
Although the remains of a Stone Golem are down there near its feet. Next…
After ten minutes, the smoke wells up and moves to a rocky mountain.
“Is it here? Aira.”
“Leave it to me.”
I ask Aira to bring it while I get ready to take it on and get on Enki’s hands to stand at a height of four meters. Since I gave it instructions beforehand, it goes smoothly.
“Thunder Arrow.”
Crack crack crack!
I want to see Enki battle that giant, but there’s its Sand Control level, and the fact that the other golem is bigger and has higher base stats. Even with the skills, I feel like a concerned parent.
The necklaces mean no one else has to attack, so the moment the monster appears, I’ll take it down.
‘Gooooo!!’
It’s still far, but I can see the Giant Stone Golem trying to catch Aira and chasing her.
Its core is big, so I could try to hit it from here, but to use Thunder Arrow, I need to use Power charge, which has a charge time of five seconds.
It leveled up to grade II recently, but the charge time stayed the same. It was the power that increased.
“Master!”
Aira arrives as I think. The monster is still far, but close enough. And I’m done charging.
“Fire!”
Woosh.
It rips through the air, and the purple electricity takes out an arm and destroys the core in its chest.
‘Goo, oo…’
The Giant Stone Golem falls forward, and smoke comes out of its body.
【Level up】
【Leveled up from seventy-two to eight-three】
I jump down from Enki’s hands, and watch the smoke dissipate.
“All right. This one isn’t scary anymore.”
“Good job darling.”
“If it was easy, how about facing it up close next time?”
“Yes… Should I?”
“The decision is yours.”
“All right, I’ll try it.”
Will the powered up Stone Golem be a weakling, or will it have special abilities that puts it above a rare II? I don’t know, but if I end up having to fight it up close, I should be used to fighting giants like that.
I wonder how strong it will be.
