We’re all impressed by the hundreds of skills on the table.
“It’s really a lot, uh…”
“Most of these are from this morning…”
“You’re incredible, darling.”
“I did some calculations, and sure enough, all the monsters defeated by master and Enki dropped skills.”
“Another great harvest. Let me check the most interesting skill first.”
Name: Duel III
Grade: Legacy
Classification: Special skill
Description: Uses half the current Magic Energy to lock the user and an opponent from the outside world. User’s stats are boosted by 5% + skill level x5, and the opponent’s stats are debuffed by the same percentage.
“Yes, it really is a cheat. But forcing a one on one fight takes away the effect of Command… This will be tricky to use.”
I can’t receive support, so I can only use it on opponents I’m sure I can beat. Or maybe if I have to keep other things out of the fight…
Actually, it spends way too much Magic Energy. I can’t use it consecutively, and it really will be tricky.
“It really is a difficult skill to use, but we can’t sell such a special skill.”
“But since it’s a III, shouldn’t it be relatively popular?”
“You are correct, it is not completely unknown, and I have also heard its name. But not enough have been found for it to have reached the market. I believe you should take it even if you do not intend to use it.”
“Darling, you might be worried about getting more and more skills you don’t use, but since you have Level Gacha, that’s going to happen regardless.”
“:..I guess so.”
“Fufu, Shouta might become a skill trade fair.”
Says Maki, and everyone laughs, but I’m pretty sure I’m already there…
“By the way, did everyone level up from that fight with the Goblin Hero Gadaga?”
Everyone nods, including Aira.
“I guess even a barrier strong enough to block Command can’t defeat the love necklaces.”
Maki and Ayane look happy, and Aki smirks.
“Is it because the barrier was lifted when it was defeated?”
“Aira, you’re not convincing anyone saying that with that happy expression.”
“…”
Aira turns away.
Well then, I’ll take Duel III. Next…
I take two Sword Knowledge Lv5 and Compress them, turning them into Sword Knowledge Lv10…
That’s not what I was expecting, so it leaves me a little curious.
“It’s not MAX?”
“That’s surprising. So ten isn’t the maximum level?”
“You don’t know either, Aki? What about you, Maki?”
“I did know, but no matter how high Sword Knowledge gets, it’s still said to be weaker than Swordsmanship Lv1. That’s why people who have it eventually upgrade to Swordsmanship. And why no one has ever leveled it up so much.”
“I see. So if I use one more…”
It goes up to eleven, then twelve, and turns into Sword Knowledge LvMAX when it gets to level twenty.
“So twenty is the maximum. Maki, put that in the database.”
“Yes, right away.”
“There’s something else I want to test.”
I use Compression on Sword Knowledge LvMAX.
‘Applicable skills confirmed.’
‘Compressing applicable skills…’
‘Compression of applicable skill successful.’
‘Compressed SR skill Sword Knowledge LvMAX into SSR skill Swordsmanship Lv1.’
“Yes!”
“Eh!?”
“No way…”
“Amazing!”
“As expected. No, better than expected.”
“This… I see, it was a blind spot.
Compression evolves skills that meet its requirements by combining skill orbs of the same type. I thought it might make one skill orb evolve too, and it really did.
I’ve also made the discovery that even skills not given by Level Gacha have rarity ranks. That means they could come out. I figured since I haven’t been getting any SR lately that they wouldn’t come out anymore. That maybe what I had was all I was getting.
“This means you can all learn Magic Energy Super Recovery or Physical Super Strengthening too. Maybe even Basic Elemental Magic.”
I tried using Compression on Aira before, and it failed. I had given up on evolving their skills, but…
Now they can get even stronger.
“You really say the most incredible things like they’re nothing.”
“Is that a compliment, Aki?”
“Of course.”
“Shouta, skills are nice to have, but you should prioritize yourself.”
“Yes, I know.”
“Ah, darling, you might be able to look into how much Magic Energy Super Recovery recovers!”
“Oh, that’s true. I can use it like that too.”
All the possibilities… I’ve only found two monsters with Magic Energy Super Recovery so far, Golden Swallowtail Butterfly and Lamia… Won’t others appear before me…
Then again, magic type rare monsters are all trouble, so that would be a problem too.
Then I compress the remaining Sword Knowledge, leaving me with…
Sword Knowledge Lv: 10
Swordsmanship Lv1: 6
Swordsmanship Lv3: 1
Swordsmanship Lv4: 1
On to the next skill.
