We’re lying on a bed built into the RV driven by Aira. Aki and Maki are on the left and right of me, and Ayane is on top of me like a blanket. I’m being pampered from three sides.
We ran into a bit of trouble on location, but that just made us closer. I’ll talk about that some other time, I just want to enjoy this happy time now.

Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Enki and Enril, along with the other golems like River, chatting together. Up until now Enki has just been staring into nothing when it’s not busy, but I feel like it has more fun now that Enril has joined us.
Enril was always with Enki when we traveled, so it’s nice that it has a new friend. Also… If I have an opportunity to get a lot of Water Control, I want to add a golem core IV water golem. And if I can find other element control skills, it would be nice to add more.
Well, I need to level up Magic Energy Super Recovery too… Worst case scenario, if I can’t rely on gacha, I can get a lot of regular Magic Energy Recovery and compress them, so I’m not too worried.

As I think about that, both get on the bed and start messing with my pillow.

Aira got me this pillow, and it uses bird feathers sourced from a dungeon. When I first used it, I fell asleep in seconds… But this could be even more comfortable.

I’m off to comfortable dreamland, but I’m awakened by alarmed voices in my ear and shaking.

“Are you okay!? Does your head hurt or something!?”
“Eh? What do you mean?”
“Are you okay? Raise your head!”

They pull my arms hard, taking my body in weird directions.
“Hey… What are you doing… Hnn?”
Where the pillow was until just now, there is an object I’m not used to seeing.
No, when I rub my eyes and look closer, I see rainbow fluid jiggling.

“Are you…”
It’s the Rainbow Slime I told Enki to leave.
‘Go, go.’
“Enki… Did you bring it instead of leaving it there?”

There’s a lot I want to touch on, but first, I tap Enki’s head to cheer it up.
“I’m not mad at you for hiding it. I asked you to do something unpleasant, so we’re even.”

“But it didn’t disappear when you took it out of the dungeon…”

Hum. I can understand Enki and Enril because I’m connected through magic stones, but I have no idea what the slime is saying. But if you trace them back to their origins, they’re similar to magic stones, so apparently they can understand the slime.
“Just to check, Enki and Enril. This thing isn’t harmful, right?”
I don’t feel hostility from it.

“Okay then. But why a pillow?”

Apparently when I started trying to infuse it with magic energy, Enki began to understand the Rainbow Slime a little, so it couldn’t bring itself to throw it away. After confirming that it didn’t disappear after being taken outside, it hid it close to the RV and brought it in when it was time to go.
Enki and Enril have free will, so me and the girls talked about them bringing in a cat or a dog someday, but I didn’t expect it to be a monster.
So, apparently they saw something called a gel pillow on TV and while shopping, so they got an idea.
Well, it does feel nice.
“I like this thing too, and learning that it can be taken out of the dungeon is big. But next time don’t keep secrets, make sure to report it. Don’t scare us, okay?”
‘Gogo~…’
‘Poh~…’
They bow, and I pat their heads. I don’t know how it happened, but it’s a big discovery.
Is it a feature of Magic Stone Control? Is it because the rainbow Slime became an empty shell after losing Level Gacha? Because I have the administrator key? Because it was harmless from the start?
Testing that… Doesn’t really seem possible. I feel like if I were to test it, our family would grow with each success. I couldn’t return them to the wild after I was done.
‘Purupuru.’
Apparently it understands me, and starts jiggling.
“I guess this is ours now.”
“Ahh…”
“You’re makin’ something crazy happen again like it’s nothing.”
The sisters are exasperated, but what’s done is done.
And as expected, Ayane’s eyes are shining.
“Darling, can I hug it?”
“Hn? Can she?”
‘Go, go.’
‘Purupuru.’
‘Po.’
“It says yes.”
“Gyu! It feels nice and chilly…!”
‘Pururu.’
As I check how it feels again too, I notice Aira is here all of a sudden.
Come to think of it, the RV stopped. I guess we’re home.
“Master.”
“Hn?”
“Have you decided what to call this slime?”
“Ah, a name… It’s a rainbow, so let’s go with Iris.”
‘Purupuru.’
‘Gogo.’
“Hn? I see. Does it like it?”
‘Pururu.’
We can talk through an interpreter.
And it looks like we have another strange friend.
