Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 26 – Another discovery

I’m feeling down, because using the Super Strength skill on top of the other had no effect at all.

“Dammit, what a waste! But it’s weird how I can use the skill orb anyway, even though I already have the skill. Is that just because there are also skills that use levels? Or…”

A dangerous thought swirls in my mind.

“…Let’s just hunt a hundred more.”

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

“Use Super Strength. Oryah!”

【Level up】

【Leveled up from eighteen to twenty-two】

Today’s fourth hobgoblin goes down right after spawning again, and I pick it up.

“Maybe overlapping two doesn’t do anything, but three… No, but…”

I hold the skill orb tight in my hand, and face my third difficult decision of the day.

Yes, I wasted another skill orb from the third hobgoblin, so I hunted another one.

I figured I might as well, while I’m leveling up.

“If this also does nothing, it’s going to be ninety million wasted… Well, if I pretend nothing dropped in these few hours, it’s not that big of a deal.”

Then again, since I didn’t pick up any loot from the weaker monsters, all I have is the great swords and medium magic stones.

I keep thinking up excuses, until I finally use it.

“Use… Super Strength!!”

The skill orb disappears, and I check the stats to see if there was any effect, not expecting much at this point.

“…All right!! So that effort wasn’t a waste. Something does happen if I keep piling them up!”

It says II. Does that mean it will grow to III if I keep doing it…

Wait, then does Level Gacha also…?

No, that’s dangerous. I’d have to go through that hell again. And not just once either, at least three times.

I have four times the Luck I had back then, but it would still take a lot of time. At least… Yes, I want a thousand Luck at least. I don’t know when that’ll happen, but it’s going to be tough otherwise.

After all, I’ve confirmed that there are at least seven types of rare slime. With a thousand, considering the trend so far, I should be able to reliably get to the fourth at least, the purple slime.

And then… Yes, I think it’s realistic to think that a rainbow one will spawn.

“Ah, stop. It’s almost time to be back. I’ll roll the gacha later, and test Super Strength II on the way back.”

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

When I go back to the association, they’re both waiting by the entrance.

“Welcome back Shouta!”

“I’m back, Maki. And Aki too.”

“So she’s the important one and I’m just sort of here too!? But see? I told you.”

“Yes, he really got here five minutes before the set time…”

“Hahaha, Aki, you really…”

She has me completely figured out.

“You look happy, Shouta. Are you looking forward to Maki’s homemade meal that much?”

There’s a murmur around us when Aki says that. She really likes to drop bombs like that. I hope she leaves soon, or who knows what else she’ll say while she’s here.

“Yes, that too. Can we go to the back first?”

“Yes, come along, Shouta.”

“Geez, wait up you two.”

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

Clunk

Even with higher Physical Strength and Constitution, this is a little bulky. Its density makes it heavier.

The blades aren’t a problem because my bag was made with that in mind, but they’re so big that the handles stick out. I tied them together, so it looks like there’s only one, but there’s actually four of them.

“Shouta, so you really…”

“Should we settle this first?”

I ask, since Aki brought it up.

“I’m curious, so yes.”

“I’m kinda finding this hard to believe…”

“Hahaha, all right then.”

I’m more interested in the lunches in front of me, but… It’s two against one. As I watch them move the lunches to a corner, Maki speaks to me, sounding apologetic.

“Sorry Shouta. I made a lot today, so let’s take it easy eating after this.”

“…All right.”

“There there, little glutton.”

“Fufu.”

Is she patting my head because I did that this morning? Now Maki’s doing it too.

“…Here’s the loot.”

“Are you embarrassed?”

“I won’t pat yours again?”

“I-I’m joking.”

“…Ahh, all right. Here, this morning’s loot. Four steel great swords, and four medium magic stones.”

Aki and Maki gulp when they see the four sets. Then they look at the bag as if prompting me to continue, but that’s all I have. I gesture as if telling them that’s it, and they check the bag themselves like they don’t believe me.

No, there really is nothing else.

“Eh? That’s it!?”

“Shouta, where are the minuscule magic stones…?”

“Ah, I thought it was a pain, so I left them.”

“You left them!?”

“Well, I moved on to the next monster right away after taking one down, so I didn’t even pick them up.”

““Eh…””

They’re looking at me like that’s unbelievable. Is that really so…?

“Bringing in a whole bunch of magic stones is kind of your identity…”

“Wait, is that my raison d’être?”

“Fufu, Aki’s joking, Shouta.”

“What kind of joke…”

“You were busy hunting a lot of them, I see. But it is shocking to see that was all…”

“…”

“Hahaha, sorry Shouta. We just sort of can’t face reality directly when four of these are in front of us… But to think you’d come back without those magic stones…”

“…It’s fine. All I can do is grab a ton of magic stones. If the report is over, can we eat?”

I didn’t think they’d harp on me so much because I didn’t bring the magic stones.

I turn my eyes to the lunches, giving up on that already. I’m not taking my eyes off them until I eat!

“S-sorry Shouta.”

“I-I said I was joking. Geez, cheer up already!”

Nah, he needs to hire someone to collect the stones for him. Space isn’t the issue, it’s the time it takes to stop and pick them up
