Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 63 – Revealing the secret

“I want to ask you two. Are they tight-lipped?”

“I can guarantee that Ayane is. I doubt she would tell even her friends and family if she promised to keep a secret.”

“That’s part of her beliefs, so surely she would never reveal a secret.”

“I see. I was feeling cautious because they fully opened their stats.”

“Really? As far as I know, you’re the first one to see them.”

“I can’t keep secrets from my future husband!”

…Should I try to push a bit more?

“…Then, would you show them to them too if I asked?”

“Of course. We will have the same husband after all!”

Says Ayane with her chest puffed out.

“No hesitation… All right, you don’t have to do that. What about Aira?”

“She’s been close to Ayane since she was little, so she’d definitely do what she said. If you can trust Ayane, I think it’s safe to say you can trust her too.”

“I see…”

“Then! As your third wife…”

“No, hold on. That’s still on hold.”

I still don’t really understand Aira.

Ayane, well, she’s a bit sheltered and tends to act rash, but I think she’s a nice girl. If I take that into account, I think it’s bad to dismiss her as a bad person just because she followed me. If I saw a bad facet of her first, I should look for her good qualities.

She didn’t get in the way of my hunting, and even helped me, so I’m not petty enough to not let that go.

But Aira… She doesn’t really talk, so I haven’t really come to understand her. She followed my command before without question and helps me, but that’s just because Ayane told her to do that. She wouldn’t follow me directly.

I can trust her when it comes to fighting together, but I guess not enough to trust that she’ll have my back.

Yes, let’s keep that on hold for now and think about Ayane first.

“I’m on hold?”

“We’re putting it on hold whether we’re really together or not. I’m seeing if I can see you as a partner.”

“Up until very recently, it felt like you would definitely reject that, so I call this progress!”

I moved closer a lot for this short amount of time.

But thinking about it realistically, it would be hard to keep fighting by myself forever. There’s a limit to what I can do. It really is lucky for me to have found strong people with whom I think I can have fun adventures.

It was all very sudden, but in terms of not being a problem for me, I doubt I could have found better adventurers.

If Luck brought me this, I don’t think it’s bad to accept it.

“That settles it. Ayane and Aira, you can come with me.”

“We will do it!”

“Congratulations, my lady.”

“But like I said before, listen to me, okay?”

“Yes! Whether it is in front of everyone or a deserted back alley or dungeon, you are always welcome to!”

“““…”””

This is the part I have a problem with. I can’t say it’s not appealing though.

“…Well then Shouta, I think you already know some of this, but let me add to it and talk about teams.”

“Yes.”

Says Maki, forcing a change of subject.

“First, teams are set in the association. Once set, the members are all linked through the information terminals in the association, so everyone can check it in the application.

Also, you were worried about experience, but that depends on who attacks the monsters directly. If people are just watching closely or supporting without attacking, they don’t get experience.”

“Really?”

“That means you can hog the experience if you want.”

Hog… Hearing that after accepting them as team members makes me feel a little guilty.

And suffice to say, Maki is picking up on that.

“Also, after years of testing, it has been determined that if people fight as a team, the amount each member receives stays the same.”

“Eh? Everyone gets a hundred percent? Then you could’ve gotten involved with the Golden Worm.”

“We don’t need levels. And you didn’t say anything about us moving against it, so we didn’t want to risk angering the monster or getting in your way.”

“I see…”

Also, I don’t know how much Luck is going to influence experience.

Does it check whoever played the biggest part in a battle? Does it go by whoever has the most luck? Whoever dealt the final blow?

In the case of dealing the final blow in particular, people who put SP into Luck would naturally have lower offensive abilities. That’s why people generally see Luck as a bad stat.

Could I test this with them?

“I’ll check the combat participation part after checking the drops.”

“We’ll leave that to you, Shouta.”

“I think that’s fine.”

“Well then… Ayane and Aira, sorry but I have something important to discuss with them. Can you wait outside for a bit?”

“Very well!”

Ayane accepts it without complaining, and takes Aira outside the room.

“She didn’t complain.”

“She promised, and she will keep that promise.”

“Yes yes. She’ll gladly go along with perverted stuff too if you order her.”

“A-Aki!”

“Just kiddin’… She really might though.”

I do feel like she’s pretty open about that sort of thing.

Let’s not think about that.

“So what did you want to talk about?”

“You can tell us anything.”

“…I want to talk about my secret.”

““!!””

“This is something that could very well shake the world. I think this information definitely shouldn’t fall into the hands of bad people, so I was intending to take this to the grave.

But I really feel how much you trust me, and I know how much I care about you, so I figured I could tell you.

But if you’re scared, you don’t have to…”

“I will hear it.”

“Tell us.”

Both say at the same time.

“Please let us share your secret. Not because we’re your exclusives, but because we want to support you.”

“You kept quiet because of us, right? That’s nice, but we want to know more about you too. I want to a-always… Be with you.”

“Maki, Aki… Thanks.”
