“Darling!”
I reach the central path while my mind is busy thinking about this and that, and Ayane comes running with a smile on her face.
“Is he all right?”
“Yes. He said he was going home to rest.”
“I see. That’s good to hear.”
“You looked so cool, gallantly dashing to rescue a junior…! I’m sure the others will be jealous when they hear about it.”
“R-really…”
“Really!”
“You did very well.”
…This tickles.
“Are you embarrassed?”
“…I am.”
“You have a cute side. Ah, and rest easy knowing I told the people gathering by the entrance that the rare monster has been dealt with.”
I forgot about that, but apparently Ayane took care of it.
“I see. Good job.”
“I only did what was natural!”
“Are you ready to start again?”
“Yes!”
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
“Almost there.”
We’re heading to the opposite corner compared to where we were this morning, and we cut down sixty goblins.
I think it’s just right for the experiment.
“How can I help you?”
“I want to do an experiment. Ayane, Aira, help me out here.”
“Yes!”
“Leave it to me.”
Both respond without hesitating, so I start by having each take down five goblins.
Ayane burns them with Fire Magic, and Aira expertly pierces their necks with thrusts. Seeing others fight up close is a good reference for me.
As a result, Ayane gets one minuscule magic stone because she has some Luck, but Aira gets nothing.
So a team member’s Luck means nothing if he’s not fighting.
Next, I land light attacks, and have them finish off five goblins each.
As a result, we get no drops.
Then we do the opposite. They weaken twenty goblins without killing them, and I deliver the final blow. That’s five that Ayane fights and I finish, five that Aira fights and I finish, and ten that both attack and I finish.
This results in us getting all drops. It really is all about who finishes them.
Also, we took down a hundred of them as a team, but nothing’s happening.
But when I hunt twenty more, the smoke of a Hobgoblin emerges.
“The experiment was a success. This is the best result among the ones I thought of.”
“Congratulations!”
“Congratulations.”
“Thank you. You can fight this rare monster, but don’t finish it off.”
“Yes.”
“Understood.”
The first Hobgoblin appears.
I wait for them to attack, and then finish it off.
【Level up】
【Leveled up from fifteen to nineteen】
“I leveled up!”
“Congratulations.”
“Congratulations, lady.”
She was level forty-six, so I was wondering, but she really did level up. Rare monsters really do give a lot of experience, if they can level someone up with a level that high.
And there’s no General Goblin.
It’s the second time in a row that one doesn’t spawn, so it must need a lot of Luck.
I hand the dropped items to Aira, and we run to the next corner.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
A hobgoblin goes down in the upper left corner of the map.
【Level up】
【Leveled up from nineteen to twenty-two】
And again, no General Goblin.
Next, a Hobgoblin in the upper right corner.
【Level up】
【Leveled up from twenty-two to twenty-four】
And finally, a General Goblin spawns.
This one also goes after the weakest one, Ayane, so Aira and I cover her while the three of us attack it. They mostly keep it in check so they can get experience too.
Ayane grabs its attention with magic, Aira hits it in a vital spot, and I put all my power into attacking that wound.
We’re not used to working together, but with clear defined roles, we manage to take it down without much confusion. Fighting with other people really does make things easier.
【Level up】
【Leveled up from twenty-four to forty-two】
The drops are the same as last time, making it seven when combined with the Hobgoblins.
This time I get a helmet for the magic iron equipment. I hit one of these directly, so I know how tough it is, and try equipping it right away.
…Hm, my visibility isn’t good. It’s also pretty heavy. But I bet it wouldn’t budge if I was hit in the head… I’ve never needed it, so I’ve never worn one of these, but let’s keep it. I have Super Strength II…
“Ayane, can you learn this Command?”
“A-are you sure?”
“Yes. You’re qualified.”
“Darling…! Thank you. I will send it to your account later. Is three hundred million all right?”
“Eh? No no no, I don’t need money. We’re a team. I won’t send you a bill later if that stops being the case either, so just take it.”
“Y-yes…”
She looks a little sad about the part about us not being a team. I think I said too much.
But she quickly cheers up, and takes the orb.
Come to think of it, I’ve seen someone use an orb.
The skill orb slowly melts into her, and disappears into a light that covers her whole body.
“Oh.”
I can feel my stats being boosted. That’s Command.
“How is it?”
“It’s working. What about you, Aira?”
“Yes. As you predicted, ten percent has been added to the previous ten percent, bringing it up to a boost of twenty percent.”
So it stacks with multiple people. Aira’s Agility was one thousand three hundred fifty-four, so is it over a thousand six hundred now?
No wonder this skill is expensive. It easily boosts stats a lot, and it’s very flexible.
“That’s incredible. Next time, you learn it, Aira. And again, you don’t need to pay.”
“Understood.”
“Well then… Hold on a second.”
“Yes!”
I sit down to roll the gacha.
I activate Level Gacha, and it appears in front of me.
I peek at the two girls, but sure enough, it doesn’t look like they can see anything. They could see it if I told them the name of the skill and they said it, but… I don’t feel right about doing that yet.
I’m just open enough to let them learn useful skills when they drop.
I press the ten spins button.
Clank claaaaaank!
I get two purples, four reds, and four blues.

So Appraisal Lv6 and Assassination. Is it because I was jealous of how Aira hit the General Goblin in a vital area? Luck really is working for me.
And Command counts as something different after the items that boost my stats? That’s helpful, but… It doesn’t affect Luck. Is that because Luck is special?

He said “we’re team” But then She sad because they’re not team? What?
And I think it’s his first time seeing someone do it, so please correct that. Thanks for the translation.
It refers to the sentence right aftewards: “We’re a team. I won’t send you a bill later if that stops being the case either, so just take it.”.
As you see he mentions not sending a bill even if they stop being a team.
The girl probably got sad at the notion of the possibility of separating from each other.
Yeah, it looks like this chapter was written on August 5, and hasn’t been since. So I’m pretty sure you just quoted the original text.
Also, I agree that what you said is exactly what the author is trying to communicate.
“Is that because Luck is special?”
You are literally the person who is figuring out how the stat works. Obviously it’s special, and you know that. 😆
If Command boosted Luck, I’d expect you to have 973, but as you said: Luck is not affected by Command. Getting an extra 89 Luck just bc a member of your party has Command is obviously too OP. Have you seen what Luck can do bro?
Let’s look at Shouta’s physical strength stat. It’s displayed as 424 (+380) (+39). 424 is supposed to be the total, and the parenthesis are “boosts”. 380 is the boost from skill orbs, and 39 is the boost from Command. Shouta’s base physical strength without those boosts is 5 (natural base of 2, +1 for 1 level up, +2 from SP). That means Shouta’s physical strength before Command is applied is 385. Command adds 10% of that, rounded up, to Shouta’s physical strength.
Goddamn, I’m almost surprised Command isn’t even more expensive. A party of 5 who all have command would mean that EVERYONE gets a 40% boost to stats. That’s f*****g INSANITY
That’s not taking into consideration just how rare it is and how low the drop rates for most people are. I mean it seems like only certain kinds of Rare monsters drop Command since the common Goblin General doesn’t have the skill.
Thanks for the treat.
