I wake up in this spacious hotel room, and move slowly.
I fell asleep halfway through, but that auction last night was incredible.
It started from the items they thought would go for less, so what I put up for auction was mostly pushed to the end.
But I fell asleep and didn’t watch it.
What I watched was fun though. The fluff bug silk set was sold for twenty percent more.
We’re still waiting for the results of studies on the golden cups, so we didn’t sell those, but I guess they’re not going to figure something out that fast… But I imagine I’ll go there soon anyway, so maybe I’ll give them two or three more for free and tell them it’s okay if they break them.
If I had to say something that caught my attention, it would be that Swift wasn’t as high as I thought. I guess that’s partially because people were saving money for what they really wanted in the end, but I suppose the requests from the branch managers had to do with it too.
I guess several clients having orders is going to have an effect on the price.
It was fun watching the stuff I put up get bid on with prices like I’ve never seen before, but I reached my limit around the time Adamantine Wall came up.
I wonder how Adamantine Strength and Adamantine Armor did.
“Did everything get sold?”
Surprisingly, Adamantine Wall ended up going for almost twice the initial price.
According to the sisters, there’s a chance the adamantine line are not tertiary skills, but a whole new class. Well, their effect lasts for a long time, so they probably have high hopes for them.
I suddenly look at the antique, and expensive looking clock here in the room, and see it’s just before seven…
It’s not that different from the time I usually wake up, but this is a hotel close to the dungeon, so I think I can take it easy today.
But then my phone rings.
“Hello?”
‘Good morning Shouta.’
“Ah, Aki. Good morning. Is it your turn today?”
Yes, the morning call. I can also kind of make out Maki and Ayane’s voices.
‘Exactly. Did you sleep well last night?’
“Like a log. But I fell asleep halfway through the auction.”
‘I see I see. Then we can tell you what happened later in more detail, but everything was sold. Part of the proceeds went to the association and us, so it’s been decided that your rank will drastically go up.
We requested it yesterday, so it will happen as soon as you get there. Can you get to the association thirty minutes earlier?’
“Yes, all right.”
‘Later~.’
The phone call ends, and I look at the clock again.
…So I’m leaving at the same time as usual…
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
It feels kind of fresh to follow a different path to the association. When I get there, I see a vertical sign on the entrance with big letters saying ‘Celebration! Promotion ceremony of beginner dungeon adventurers!!’
I heard it was done on a large scale, but is it not just done between friends and stuff…
When I go in, there’s a banner, and flowers sent by several branches. They did that all on the heels of yesterday? Has this promotion been planned for a while?
I see other adventurers being promoted standing in the center of the entrance.
Everyone else is off to the side, and I’m just standing here wondering what to do, when Aki grabs my arm.
“This way Shouta. Here’s your mark.”
She takes me to a spot marked with colored tape, so I stand there.
I look to the side, and see a young man that appears to be graduating from being a beginner, and stepping into being an intermediary.
There are several receptionists in front of us. Aki and Maki are in front of me, so the others are probably either exclusives or something similar.
Hana is apparently running this event.
“Well then everyone, it’s time for the promotion ceremony of the beginner dungeon! Step forward when your name is called.”
This is what they meant when they said the scale was large.
I didn’t really know, but it feels like everyone else knew there was a promotion ceremony happening this day. Apparently there was an announcement posted here in the association.
“Next, promotion to E rank…”
So people are called starting from the lowest rank.
Three people are promoted to F rank, and two to E rank. And the adventurer next to me is called to rank up to D rank.
That’s a beginner dungeon for you. D rank is fourth from the bottom, so that’s where the intermediary rank begins. In a way, it’s like graduation from the beginner dungeon.
“Next, Amachi. Step forward.”
“When it’s my turn, it’s the branch manager who calls me, not Hana.
“Yes.”
I step forward, and take out my adventurer rank badge.
I usually have it under my armor, but now that I’m getting a good look at it, the F rank badge is bronze, and a really subdued color. I guess looking at it for over two years made me not notice that sort of thing anymore.
We’re parting ways today.
“Shouta Amachi, you have contributed a lot to this association in a short amount of time. Not only discovering new rare monsters, but even new skills, some of which were put up for auction.
This has made the auction held by the first association a bigger success than previous years. And so, you will be awarded the appropriate rank.”
Maki pops out from behind the branch manager, and trades my badge for a new one.
It shines with a golden color, my new A rank badge.
“You have been promoted from F to A rank. Don’t rest on your laurels, and continue striving to advance. We are also announcing the engagement to Maki Saotome, Aki Saotome, and Ayane Houjouin.”
The branch manager’s announcement brings silence to the association. The adventurers are in awe, while the receptionists’ eyes are shining.
“That concludes the promotion ceremony. Thank you all for coming.”
The branch manager leaves, and Aki and Maki run to take her place.
““Shouta!””
Both hug me, as loud claps and cheers echo.

Damn, engagement already? Quick. And from F to A rank just like that. I wanna see MC become more and more strong and meet strong people too.
I bet the rest of the male adventurers are all pissed after hearing the announcement!🤩
Thanks.
