Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 77 – Starting the Fast Run festival

After I give Aira her weapons back, we start hunting again.

“Let’s hunt wolves. Is there anything we need to watch out for, Aira?”

“They always move in packs ranging from two to five. They also use their skills frequently, so be careful about them accelerating occasionally.

But much like Swift, they need to slow down when not moving in a straight line, so they can only go so fast. If you watch out for that, they won’t be a problem.”

“Understood. I’ve never seen wolves before, so I’d be grateful if you took down a couple if you see I’m in danger.”

“Very well.”

And so, we make our way to the hilly area.

It’s hard to see, but apparently there’s a cavity like a crater in the center, and I think they group together around it. If my hypothesis is correct, that’s where rare monsters spawn…

But from what I can see on my map, there are normal monsters over there too.

I’m thinking I might have to fight a rare monster along with the weaker ones.

“How about we start with those three?”

I use an iron knife I picked up along the way to lure them.

“Oryah.”

“Gyan!”

The iron knife hits a hill wolf on the forehead like it was sucked into it, and the monster turns to smoke after one hit.

“Grrrr.”

“Graw! Graw!”

The other two run towards me, but they’re slow.

They’re nothing compared to Murder Rabbit’s Swift, to the point where I can easily follow them with my eyes. They jump at me, I practically just leave my sword where they land, and they turn into smoke.

If I take them out one or two at a time, it’s easy.

“Very well done, master.”

Says Aira, who is standing next to me with the dropped items that I didn’t even see her pick up.

She’s holding a Fast Run skill orb.

“Oh, already? I guess with a thousand Luck, the drop rate should be ten percent.”

No, I have eleven hundred so, eleven percent? It doesn’t really matter.

“This is a good start.”

“Yes. I’m going to use four Fast Run orbs, so you can use the next three to get your Fast Run to Fast Run II.”

“Thank you master.”

And then, I start hunting a hundred hill wolves without any issues.”

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

After defeating the third monster of a pack of five, the signs of a rare monster spawning appear.

“Ooh.”

I cut down the remaining two without rushing. I’ve never done something like this before, but the additional two monsters quickly turn to smoke, and I don’t think they’re having any effect on the rare monster smoke.

So after this, do I need to take down ninety-eight, or do I need to go for a hundred again?

Just like I thought, the smoke heads to the crater and expands.

“Aira, are there any reports of the hill wolf rare monster in other dungeons?”

“There are.”

“Tell me if it’s the same.”

“Yes.”

A wolf that’s twice the size of a hill wolf emerges from the smoke.

*****

Its level is about halfway between a Murder Rabbit and a General Goblin, but the medium magic stone tells me it’s clearly weaker than the latter.

Its Physical Strength and Constitution are particularly weak, about half of a Golden Worm.

“Fuooon!!

Grr. Woof! Gawr gawr!!”

The Boss Wolf’s howl brings the nearby hill wolves to the crater.

“Uwah, seriously?”

I’ve been hunting around here, so there are only seven or eight of them. The others haven’t respawned, but… That still means I’m totally surrounded.

Is this why it has low stats? The other rare monsters were always alone, but this one is the type to attack with a team!

“The levels and skills are different, but the movement patterns and name are the same.”

“I see. So it’s also this troubling in other places.”

Sadly for it, I’m not alone. I have someone I can rely on.

“Aira, can you take out the hill wolves?”

“Leave them to me.”

Having someone with me really helps.

Let’s do it!

Swift !!”

“Grr!?”

It’s only a bit better than a Murder Rabbit. I’m not going to be outdone by something like this at this point.

“Woof!!”

The Boss Wolf tries to bite with its big fangs, but I easily evade it and counter.

“Too slow!”

Slash.

“Gyahn!?”

Its high level combined with me not boosting my Physical Strength means it doesn’t go down in one hit, but it’s close to death.

“Now to finish you!”

My next attack turns it into smoke.

【Level up】

【Leveled up from nine to thirty】

After easily taking down the rare monster, the silence makes it feel like something’s off.

“Aira…”

“Over here.”

I look for her, but it looks like I was worried for nothing. She’s right next to me.

I guess fewer than ten hill wolves aren’t going to be enough to even slow her down. They all turned to smoke, but they dropped nothing.

“I should’ve expected it.”

“Same here, master.”

We congratulate each other like this, and turn to the smoke.

It was a high level monster, so it should take about ten minutes to clear.

I look at the timer while it counts, and we move a little far away.

Oh man, that’s honestly amazing though. >Spawn an elite
>Get it to summon a bunch of adds
>Allies distract the adds without killing
>Kill the elite
>Mc kills the adds
>Killing adds triggers a new elite spawn

Rinse and repeat. Infinite elites!!!
