I get up after telling them I’m leaving, and see a fluff bug peeking out from the forest not too far.
I thought I’d be bringing out the bow a little later, but… I check the map, and see convenient prey. And since I’m near the girls, let’s take this opportunity.
“Aira, let me test something before the real hunt starts.”
“Yes.”
I grab the Kaiser Vein, and draw its string while focusing on it strongly. And then, an arrow automatically appears, using my magic energy. I immediately release it, and it silently flies and pierces the fluff bug.
There was a twenty-five meter distance, but it hits it straight in the head.
“Wonderfully done, master.”
“““Ooh!”””
I hear cheers, along with Aira’s praise. It’s usually hard to show off when I’m fighting up close, but I’m thinking I can safely enchant them like this.
Then I keep shooting all the fluff bugs I think I can target, to a total of thirteen. That makes twenty, counting the ones I took down while looking for the treasure chest.
The girls have fun watching me. I can’t shoot them if they aren’t in a position where I can target them, but I’ll keep using the bow when I can, for them.
“Aira.”
“Yes, I have collected them.”
“Thank you.”
Her ability to collect drops is in top form as always. She shows me her bag, and sure enough, there are silk and minuscule magic stones, twenty of each.
“Great. It looks like Luck works with your bow too.”
“That’s nice.”
Will rare monsters spawn? I guess I didn’t have a problem when I used magic to take monsters down, so I want to think that doesn’t matter. Now let’s start hunting!
“Let’s go from that forest around the clock tower.”
“Understood.”
“Well then everyone, now we’re really going.”

“That’s ninety-eight.”
“And in no time as well. That was an incredible speed, master.”
“That’s because you’re incredible, Aira.”
From looking for my next prey to cutting it down and running again, my speed barely drops.
But Aira is chasing me while picking up drops. Not to mention the few seconds it takes between monsters turning to smoke to the items dropping. And yet, she follows me while I zig-zag, never losing sight of me.
I don’t think I’ll be able to do that, no matter how much my abilities improve.
“I’m your maid after all.”
“Y-yes…”
I think it’s about time I call Ayane.
I start walking towards them, and Aira walks next to me.
“May I ask something, master?”
“Hn?”
“You signed that contract on the spot, but did you read it properly?”
“Eh? All I saw was that you would be my maid.”
“I see. You missed that important point. No wonder you are not acting differently.”
I didn’t get a bad feeling or anything, so what did I miss?
“Master, that contract states you can do what you want with my body.”
“…Hn? You mean in a different way than like a maid, and when it comes to helping in adventures?”
“Yes. It means you are free to put your hands on me.”
“So they…”
“I am not sure about the other two ladies, but Lady Ayane is aware.”
“…”
That’s trouble.
“Is it a problem?”
“I didn’t say anything about the contract because it didn’t seem like there was anything that would be a problem to you… I see you as a reliable partner, so I don’t know what to say when you spring this on me all of a sudden.”
“Am I not appealing to you?”

“Fufu, I see.”
Aira’s face smiles brightly as she smiles.

When we get back, the girls are puzzled about the air between me and Aira.
“Did something happen?”
“Shouta?”
“…You did pervy things, did you not!?”
“No.”
I explain the situation while showing them the contract.
“Hmph, I see.”
“That’s it!?”
I thought they’d be mad, but Aki barely reacts.
“I don’t think it’s a problem if it’s Aira. We have been through this a few times, since Ayane is the third.”
“Yep. She’s unaffiliated with the Houjouin family, and serves you now. So we’ve accepted her already.”
“Aira, Aki, Maki, we are all family!”
Ayane jumps at me, looking happy.
“I guess if you’re okay with it… And…”
“Ah, by the way, my mother also knows. I told you that if you were to take a fourth, she should be A rank. That’s why I said that.”
“R-really…”
I see all sorts of obstacles are being removed without me knowing.
“So Shouta, if you’re back, does that mean you’re almost done?”
“Y-yes. That’s right. There are two more to go, but I figured I should call Ayane.”
“Yes, I’m going!”
“Shouta, the other time it just happened to appear, so how is it now?”
“It’s fine, Aki. I think all the conditions have been met this time, so I’m pretty sure it will spawn.”
Last time, it was like one in three times, but I had four hundred sixty Luck. Now I have one thousand three hundred sixty-four.
That’s triple, so it should be fine.
