My Twin Sister Was Taken as a Miko and I Was Thrown Away but I’m Probably the Miko – Chapter 430 – Girl and Rezzed – Part twenty-four

All sorts of things have been changing as people from Rezzed arrive.

“Mister Shuongalve, when is Mister Delaigal coming?”

I turn to Mister Shuongalve, as I watch the castle being constructed, and he laughs.

“Not so soon. Even Delai can’t clean up something like that quickly. But he’ll get here once that’s done.”

I can really tell how much Mister Delaigal trusts his little brother.

He went back to Rezzed to settle things there, and hasn’t been back here yet.

I’m sure there are a lot of problems and difficult situations, but both Mister Shuongalve and the people of Rezzed say he’ll be fine.

I think that relationship between them is wonderful.

Apparently Mister Shuongalve hasn’t told Mister Delaigal a lot about what’s been going on here. I think he wants him to focus on taking care of Rezzed. Also, I don’t think it would be a problem if Mister Delaigal knew, but information might be leaked.

Miss Lan and the others say we need to handle information about this country carefully. Especially while the castle is being built and we don’t have proper defenses.

If people knew about this country, I’m sure a lot would come here. And I’m sure not all of them would want to be friends.

I think it will be better once we’re able to brag about our country more. I love everyone here, and this place too. I can’t wait to tell other people about them.

“Where is Mister Delaigal going to live? In the same house as you?”

“Yes… Well, that would be fine. He’s not going to be the younger brother of the king anymore either, so it will be easier for him to relax.”

He says casually and with a smile.

The king and his brother won’t have their titles anymore, and their environment is going to change a lot, but I can tell that they themselves will stay the same.

It’s the same with us. Lots of things are changing, like this place and the number of people in it, but lots of things are staying the same. What we think is important is still the same, and I don’t think that will change either. Yes, that’s why I think seeing these changes is fun.

I wonder what people who come from outside with other cultures and ways of thinking have in mind.

We’re not denying them that, so… I think that’s why this is going well. I think denying people what they think is important leads to fighting.

That’s why I think it’s important to keep doing that, as our population grows.

For the people of Rezzed, that’s Mister Shuongalve and Mister Delaigal.

They believe everything they say, and I think they would all turn against us if someone did something bad to them. But… What happens when one of those important people dies?

For example, Mister Ilma. He feels a surprising amount of emotion towards me, and accepts everything I say without thinking.

I’m the miko, so I’ll live longer than most people, which means Mister Ilma is probably going to die first.

But what if the person everyone sees as important dies first?

“Mister Shuongalve, do you ever think about after your life ends?”

“Hn? Not really.”

“But you’re very important to the people of Rezzed. Wouldn’t it be bad if you were gone?”

I ask, and Mister Shuongalve looks like he’s thinking.

But the next moment, he smiles without any worry.

“I think that sort of thing will just disappear after I’m gone. I don’t want a civil war to happen here after I’m gone or anything, and I don’t want anyone using my name to do their own things either.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I intend to leave things settled after I’m gone. I want people to be citizens of this country, not Rezzed. And I think as that happens, people will stop thinking of me as number one.”

“Disappear… Yes. I don’t think it’s good to hold just one person as being special.”

Listening to Mister Shuongalve makes me think I have a lot to learn.

People of Rezzed will become citizens of this country. I still think of them as people of Rezzed, but as they get more used to living here and settle in, it will become natural for them to be with us. Yes, that’s going to be another change.
