Gaius and I are the king of this country.
But what changed is… That we have a lot more things to do.
Without responsibilities, we would be more free. Maybe we could only think about ourselves. I could’ve picked that path, but I chose to be king. If I’m with Gaius, even if there are difficult things, there’s going to be lots of fun things too.
Then again, I just started… But that’s what I believe. And it’s better to be optimistic with a feeling that I can do anything, instead of thinking things are hard and that I can’t do this right from the start.
“Gaius, we have a lot of opinions.”
“Yes… If it’s like this now, imagine when there’s even more people.”
“Yes. There are so many people saying their opinions now, so imagine how it is with Mister Hicked and Mister Shuongalve… It really makes me feel like they’re great.”
Everyone has their own ideas of what this country that just began should be like.
Gaius and I aren’t the only ones listening, but we have to check. In the end, we’re going to discuss it with Miss Lan and the others, but first, we just check!
Things are slowly taking form, so there’s a lot of papers with people’s opinions on how this should be like this, and that should be like that. People are doing that anonymously, but we’re also putting a system in place where they can say their opinions directly.
I also want to make sure we hear everyone, even aside from this. But if the kings keep doing that, it might cause problems eventually.
We need to hear those things, think about them carefully, and proceed. Gaius and I are new to this king thing, and the only other person here that was in that position is Mister Shuongalve.
“Construction around the castle is advancing slowly, but there’s a problem.”
“Yes, the scenery is getting worse because a lot is being built so suddenly… Then there’s provision of water for everyone, people who want to build stores…”
“Yes, there’s a lot to think about. We’ve been getting some money from trading with people from Migha and Lunid… But Miss Lan says this country should have money, and I heard they don’t know if we can make money and have people accept its value.”
We used to not reveal where we lived, so it would be hard to use that sort of thing outside. But now that this is a country, we decided to build more connections.
Maybe some people will want to do something bad if they know we’re here, but… That’s what we decided is best.
Also, about money, we should make sure others can’t make the same one. I heard it will be big trouble if people can just make the same money as us. I don’t understand people who would make that and do something bad, but I heard that has happened a lot.
Mister Shuongalve said the same thing too. This has happened in more than one country.
Also, Mister Delaigal isn’t here yet. He sends letters from time to time, but there’s still a lot to settle around Rezzed. I’m sure he’s dealing with everything so there aren’t any problems in the future.
They need to deal with this properly, or things they can’t even imagine might happen later on. That’s why… I need to think carefully before making decisions too.
We need ore to make money, but we can mine around here. Mister Douroean and Doanea know a lot, and they told me. And Wea has a lot of knowledge from the past too.
“We need to make money flow through the country.”
“Yes, I haven’t used money a lot either, so there’s a lot I have to get used to. And money typically has a pattern unique to that country, so we need to discuss that too.”
There really is a lot we have to think about, and Gaius and I are racking our brains.
