“I see you made twenty-six thousand two hundred yen in one day by yourself the first time. The second time, you made fifty thousand four hundred yen. You really did well. Since it was mainly from ether crystals, it could have been by luck… But taking down kobolds invalidates that possibility. It seems I was the one who was wrong.”
Says Miss Sawaki while bowing. She recommended I quit being a seeker, but she didn’t do it out of malice, she was just watching out for my safety. I have no reason to be mad.
“No no. What you said made sense, considering my abilities. And I made this much money because the skill I thought was useless is better than I thought.”
Even after leveling up, I’m confident I would die if you told me to fight kobolds with my fists. I haven’t even used the spear I bought, and I used the nata knife, but not for fighting.
I doubt the Storage skill will be good for fighting up close… Wait, fighting up close… If I create a Storage Gate in the palm of my hand and shoot air bullets, I might be able to use the palms of my hands like a qigong practitioner. Hm, that might actually be cool.
“Your Storage skill? You can use it to fire rocks with enough force to kill kobolds instantly, and the Storage Gates are tough enough to be used as footing for you to move higher. This must be due to its high strength of presence.”
“Hum, can other people with the Storage skill and a high strength of presence do the same thing?”
I ask, and she shakes her head with a troubled expression.
“All the public records show about Storage skills with a high strength of presence is that their storing abilities are fixed, and the Storage Gates become tougher. There are no records of any being tough enough to carry someone, or expelling things with such force when canceled that they become lethal weapons.”
She says. So basically, as far as public records are concerned, there is no Storage skill user like me.
“But as you said, with your abilities, you will be able to mine efficiently in the Yoshikawa Gate’s rock crystal cavern. In fact, considering your results so far, I think it would be good for you to stay the course.”
“That might be true, but I’m having fun with my skill. I want to see just how far I can take it…”
I’m aware that I sound like a child, but if I get into a routine and just go to work, it won’t be different from my old job. I can’t say it to other people just yet, but I want to be the greatest seeker. I can’t stop now.
Miss Sawaki is a little taken aback by what I say, but she proposes something interesting. Exploring ruins.
Apparently there are ruins deep within the rock crystal cave, that are theorized to have been used by people of that world. That does sound interesting.

Zenjurou will step into his land again, aiming for ancient ruins left by its population long ago.
What will the mad banquet of beasts that lurk in the darkness bring to his heart?
