Being a seeker means I am now supplied by the seeker association. I received a small device called a seeker device that’s the size of a card, which I can use to connect to the internet and not only access important information for a seeker, but also act as my identification.
It has a camera and microphone, used to record inside dungeons, and it keeps track of its location. Records of proximity are also kept when I’m near other seekers, so if there is a quarrel in dungeons, it gets recorded.
It’s also possible to use them with what are called seeker probes, that are in public areas of dungeons and can be used to contact the outside world.
So, according to the Storage skill manual in this seeker device, Storage Gates are normally weak to impacts, and will collapse if any weight is put on them.
When a Storage Gate collapses, the Storage space itself is canceled, sending its contents flying out. Scary. It says one needs to be careful when opening a Storage gate, and make sure it’s not broken.
But my Storage Gate is holding strong. It doesn’t budge no matter what I do. Drop-kicking it only hurts my ankle, and I have to put a wet compress on it.
Is it because of that heavy strength of presence… I’m sure it has a limit, but I might be able to use it as footing or a shield.
And what if instead of closing it, I cancel it? I can’t break it no matter what I try, so it might be able to take attacks from monsters in a dungeon too.
Apparently when a Storage space is canceled, it ruptures like a balloon, and the contents fly out.
Let’s try it. It sounds pretty ugly, but I won’t know how much until I try.
That said, I’m in my room. A rock flying out would be dangerous, so let’s go with a pack of tissues. That should give me an idea of what it’s like. One, two…
“Cancel Storage.”
Boom!
Plink!
Crash!
“Ah!”
Canceling Storage makes a lot of noise, and the pack of tissues breaks apart, shatters the window, and breaks the veranda’s railing.
Now what’s the meaning of this?
I don’t know what came out, but… Wait, was that air?
I imagined a balloon when I made the Storage space. I imagined it swelling with air, so did all that air burst out?
This Storage cancellation is scary. The manual doesn’t say anything about this becoming a weapon, but I guess this force comes from the heavy strength of presence.
Then again, a seeker with strong stats could unleash this much destructive power with one fist.
But for an all F like me, I feel like I’m seeing a small light at the end of the tunnel. I won’t know for sure until I try, but could it be that I found a way to work as a seeker?
Ah.
But what about the broken window and veranda?
