The Chichibu Gate is just like the Yoshikawa Gate, and also has gatling guns set up by the entrance. It really is all about power in this world. And numbers do the talking in fighting. I should level up and get more Storage Spaces.
Anyway, after crossing the Chichibu Gate, we find ourselves in the Deep Woods. The Crystal Cave was just that, a cave… Well, this is a cave too, but… There are trees all over, and what looks like a campsite near the entrance.
We attract attention as we advance, because there’s the two meter tall Lucky, the searcher drone, and Tina riding four hands.
And leading the charge is a trivial old man, which might make this ensemble stand out even more.
But none of that matters in a dungeon, starting now, I’m open for business. It’s time to toss aside those frivolous feelings and start the adventure.
“Hum, mister, can I take a photo with that red panda? I want to ask the fairy too, but…”
“Ah, yes, if Lucky and Tina are okay with it.”
Ahh, students these days are real go-getters. Well, my business hours can start once I enter the forest. If I’m to be the greatest seeker, I can’t be cruel to fans. Probably.

Three more groups of young people asked for photos and got them. They wanted me in the photo too, but what’s interesting about taking a photo with a regular old man? Although having young people make a big deal out of me didn’t feel bad.
Now it’s my business hours.
This forest is called Deep Woods.
Why is there a forest underground… Is something I wonder, but when I look up, I can’t see a ceiling. What I see are sparkling green clouds.
The Dungeon Association explains them as magic energy clouds. There’s a stream of magic energy constantly flowing in dungeons, and if it flows to the sky, it forms clouds like that. If it flows underground, it forms magic energy crystals.
So basically, the stream of magic energy is shining like a sun. And so, even in this world we assume is underground, the light from the magic energy allows for a forest to grow.
The medicinal herbs we use to make potions do photosynthesis using light from magic energy. This is why cultivation on Earth hasn’t been successful, because the environment isn’t right.
This dungeon we call a forest has quite the diverse ecology, and unlike the Crystal Cave, it’s known for having many magic beasts whose materials can be harvested. It is also two ranks up, meaning D.
My main goal here is magic herb collection, but if I can, I want to go after something else.
Now onward, to adventure.
