The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 191 – Let’s behold a majestic appearance!!

“This really is a giant… Roa?”

“…It feels like I can see it, but I can’t.”

With both hands on her glasses magic item, Roa squints as she looks down at the enemy. Her expression doesn’t show it, but she sounds frustrated.

I guess it’s no good even with Roa’s long-distance and transparency magic eyes.

As soon as we returned to Habbafulton, we met up with Taula, and she led us here out to scout the incoming giant enemy on Seilook’s back.

Kalin has taken command of the troops in Habbafulton. Worst case scenario, we’ll have to abandon the town. I’m sure our scouting will have a big impact on that decision.

And things aren’t looking too good right now.

We can’t get a good look at the enemy. It’s covered by some sort of black something. It reminds me of the cumulonimbus cloud covering the dragon tomb where the undead dragon was.

But there’s no doubt that something evil is lurking beneath. Sometimes, that black something is pierced and smaller monsters come out.

“What just came out was a twintail horn, a variant species. It looks like it’s covered in black blood vessels… It doesn’t look very tasty.”

Says Roa, who is using her long-distance sight.

They’re too small for me to see them from here, but Roa keeps reporting that all sorts of different species are coming out. And they’re all variants of regular monsters.

Worst of all, they’re slowly getting closer to Habbafulton.

“What now Rust? I don’t think we can do anything if even Roa can’t see it.”

Asks Taula, who is riding Seilook with us and brought us here.

I respond while putting away my pocket watch.

“It might be dangerous, but let’s land where that black something or other has passed. I’ll be done as quickly as possible, but there’s a good chance that those variant species will attack. Sorry, but I want you to guard me from them.”

“Yes.”

“I will swing my sword for you.”

Roa nods with a blank look on her face, and Taula unsheathes her sword while happily smiling. These two are very reliable.

I guess that feeling is transmitted to Seilook through our bond, and it lets out a small cry.

“Gyu.”

“Ah, sorry, I’m counting on your claws too, Seilook. All right Seilook, land on that broken rock.”

I point there, and Seilook gets ready to land.
