The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 203 – Conclusion!?

“Taula! That id…”

I noticed too late that Taula was running this way from a blind spot.

Taula has her sword close to her hip, and is ready to pierce the shaman wrapped in vines while tackling him.

I don’t know if the sharp Rose opened a gap only on that part, but the sword pierces the shaman through it like it’s sliding into it.

Maybe it’s a last resort, but the curses overflowing from the shaman’s body burst all of a sudden.

Is he actually trading in his life to accelerate the curses!?

Those curses finally break through the potion coating Rose’s vines, and start to eat at them.

I rush to 《Return》 Rose, and run towards Taula.

Obviously, the overflowing curses are falling on her.

Her face has bruises that look a lot like the ones she had when we first met, but the curse is more powerful, and the bruises are darker. Her silver hair also has dark dots, and her body is being eaten by curses.

Still, there’s fire in her eyes, and she keeps stabbing while mumbling something to the now exposed shaman.

I finally reach her, and pour all the potions I have on her body.

It doesn’t matter if they’re high or low quality, and the potions create a seven-colored light that washes away the curses crawling on Taula’s body.

“Taula, get away!”

Taula falls to her knees, and I grab her from behind.

The shaman also falls back, with a sword stabbed through his heart.

“Taula, that was crazy.”

“Cough. I’m sorry, Rust. But I had to… By my own hand… I had to kill him, and vindicate the ones he toyed with…”

“I know. Don’t try to talk. Drink this.”

“Sorry…”

Taula gulps down a potion I hand her.

Meanwhile, I walk over to the downed shaman. I put on my harvesting gloves just in case, and activate a 《Transcribe》 scroll to check the status of the man in front of me.

“He’s dead. What is the meaning of this? Was he really just a human…”

“What happened, Master Rust?”

Kalin and the others run this way.

I turn to her, put aside my questions for now, and tell her it’s over.

“Taula downed the shaman.”

“I see.”

It looks like Kalin knows what I’m thinking, but something takes precedence now.

“Everyone hear me! The leader of our enemies has been defeated by the savior of our country and chief of the Kagero Institute, Master Rust, and the knight of the goddess Araysla, Taula! Habbafulton is saved! I thank you for your efforts!”

Kalin raises her jet black sword, and her declaration of victory echoes through the battlefield.

In response, everyone present triumphantly cheers.
