The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 225 – New materials and self-control!

“So this is Sototo…”

I say in awe of the strange scenery below us.

From what I heard, Sototo is dotted with mountains of various sizes, and since it rains a lot, there are rivers everywhere. They use the large amounts of water at their disposal to plant crops in what looks like ponds.

But now that I’m actually seeing it, it’s more impressive than I expected.

There is water flowing down steep mountains, and verdant crops grow tightly in the few plains.

It doesn’t even feel like we’re on the same continent.

Taula isn’t saying anything, but she keeps looking around. She seems really interested in the scenery of Sototo too. I’m guessing Princess Lily is used to it, because she’s still having fun moving around on top of Seilook.

Speaking of Princess Lily, we got through the border checkpoint without much issue thanks to her.

When Taula was going through the procedure to enter this country, the person responsible was surprised, but didn’t object or anything.

In fact, when we told them we are here to bring supplies because of the tremors and presented them with a list of inventory, they welcomed us enthusiastically.

The inspection of our luggage was simplified too, and they only did a sampling inspection.

If I had to point to something that was tough to deal with, it would have to be the smug expression on Princess Lily’s face the whole way through.

But our entry into Sototo really was so smooth, simplified inspection included, thanks to Princess Lily’s influence and the power she was given at birth. I guess we should let her have this one.

After that was over, we just got on top of Seilook again and took off.

The plan now is to stop by Princess Lily’s territory and drop off the supplies Seilook is carrying.

That means we’ll both shed off that weight, and also take care of the official reason why we’re here.

Afterwards, the supplies will be sent west, east, south, and north from Princess Lily’s territory, and we’ll be using the fact that we’re going to handle one of those as a front.

Then, we’ll go to where the ‘Third Seat of Immorality’ is.

Princess Lily’s plan seems pretty roundabout, but she convinced us that it’s necessary to make sure everything goes smoothly, and we keep our true goals hidden in this foreign country.

“Master Rust, we should be entering the area inhabited by flying monsters any time now.”

Says Princess Lily like she’s warning me, as I’m lost in thought.

All of a sudden, there are no more crops down there, only a valley.

“Rust.”

Taula unsheathes her sword and points to the right.

There are many black shadows coming at us.

“I’ve never seen those monsters! What kind of materials…”

I whisper unconsciously.

“Rust?”

I hear Taula call out my name gently from behind me.

“I do regret not being able to collect materials from new monsters, but time is of the essence. We need to cut our way through them.”

I hurry to announce that to the two ladies and Seilook as I take out scrolls and 《Activate》 them.
