The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 311 – Jamming divine protection

Kahelone jumps into the kitchen, and the tableware clad in purifying light that’s spinning around rushes towards her too.

But then, her magic elements hovering around suddenly become stronger. And strangely, as if the woman controlling them had lost control, the tableware flies around all over the place.

But some are still going straight towards Kahelone.

“Aroma Vine!”

I yell, and Aroma Vine responds to my voice and slithers its way towards Kahelone. From there it quickly stretches up, and stops the out of control tableware.

“Thank you Rust.”

“Be careful, Kahelone.”

I reply as I let out a sigh of relief.

I’m glad Aroma Vine made it in time. But it looks like Kahelone’s divine protection isn’t just about stopping eavesdroppers. The area where she can activat it seems limited, but it’s still incredible how it even works on purifying light.

“Tch.”

A tongue smacking sound sharply echoes, and the enemy dressed as a sister runs and bends over as she passes near two kitchen knives stabbed into the ground. They must have gotten stuck there when Kahelone’s Jamming divine protection made the woman lose control of them.

She picks them up as she runs.

“Tchitchitchitchitchi.”

She keeps smacking her tongue, and the kitchen knives in her hands start intermittently glowing with a pale light.

Kahelone’s divine protection is still filling this kitchen, and to combat this, the woman keeps enveloping the kitchen knives with purifying light as soon as Kahelone’s power suppresses it.

“Aroma Vine, stop her!”

Vines creep towards the woman from four sides. Aroma Vine doesn’t have to worry about holding tableware so it doesn’t attack again anymore.

The woman jumps up just as the vines are about to wrap around her legs, but not the kind of jump one could expect from a human. She almost reaches the ceiling, and her joints start bending in a way that also doesn’t feel human, almost like a marionette.

Aroma Vine’s vines are still closing in, but the woman spins in the air, even though she has no footing whatsoever.

“I see. Is she moving her body by moving the kitchen knives in her hands!?”

She spins faster and faster. The kitchen knives clad with purifying light act like a mixer as they cut the vines approaching her.

The enemy maintains this rotation as she descends towards Kahelone.
