The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 429 – Manifest scroll

“Ah, of course. You were unconscious at the time.”

I say while remembering when I first met Ahri and Roa.

Now that I think about it, even back then it was already… Seilook was a servant of Araysla from birth.

“I asked what you’re talking about.”

“Forget it. I’m just talking to myself. But I have to make good on that promise.”

Seilook looks puzzled, and I let out a small awkward laugh, before I take out a scroll.

A scroll surrounded in a vortex of purifying light and the darkness of curses that swirls like they’re doing battle, and is enveloped in shining magic elements.

It’s that scroll I put everything into.

“『Activate』”

The scroll unravels, and the blue and black lights follow it as their vortex surrounds it.

“『Manifest』”

A half-transparent plate appears from between the blue and black lights, and I put my medallion on it.

“Plate, initiate authentication.”

The plate swallows my medallion and shows text.

“『Authentication complete, activating 『Manifest』 scroll.』

Several magic circles are drawn on top of the plate, which rain down on the scroll.

“Plate, target Eve. Small radius.”

『Executing.』

Eve is on the shore, supporting its body with its sword, when a giant magic circle surrounds it. This magic circle then starts to slowly descend all the way to the surface of the water.

The next moment, the surface of the water turns into ground covered by vines.

『Activation successful. Confirming manifestation of sanctuary ‘detached office of the Kagero Institute’.』

All right, it looks like part of the sanctuary was successfully manifested. Although the fact that the plate has to do some of the processing is a bottleneck.

In any case, I’m relieved to see it worked. Two different worlds. Part of the sanctuary where only I have control has been manifested In this world.

It looks like I managed to avoid the rejection that comes with two opposing worlds meeting.

There’s some flickering between the ground covered in vines around Eve and this world’s sea, but I feel relieved as I see the blue and black lights stabilizing it.

I raise my head and look at the other side of where Eve is.

Above that band of light, I can faintly see the sister tower in the detached room of the Kagero Institute.

Hm… I guess that’s what happens when only part of that world is manifested. Everything else in the sanctuary world only exists to a certain extent.

My desire to research this strange phenomenon further intensifies, but I try my hardest to hold that back, and turn to Rose.

“Rose, support Eve. Full power. Use everything you need from the sister tower.”

Rose responds to my words, and its vines swell off the ground like an explosion. And then, Eve’s paladin mode body is quickly swallowed by these vines.
