“Unchan, to the sky.”
“All right! Thank you for accepting my wishes to stay together, blood contractor! Seilook, come!”
Unchan returns to dragon form, and both dragons flap their wings and head up.
I want them to take shelter, now that I’m going to face Araysla.
“…A millennium of solitude…”
A phrase I saw in the condensed explanation sent to me by Unchan.
Unchan’s three thousand years suddenly don’t feel like something that happened to someone else. It’s probably because of this power.
Only two dragons exist in this world. I look at my hands, and for a moment think about Unchan’s wishes.
But I have to quickly get that out of my head, because I’m going to strike at Araysla in one go.
“Plate, 『Manifest』 scroll’s percentage.”
『One hundred percent.』
All right, perfect. I hope I’m not too late.
I think to myself while watching Araysla.
“Release all restrictions. Execute.”
『Confirming release of restrictions. Fully activating scroll『Manifest』.』
Light bursts out of the 『Manifest』 scroll. Two kinds of lights face each other and mix, and turn into a golden light.
This golden light falls on the ground, the sea, and the sky. The whole world is glowing with that golden light.
『Activation complete. Confirming complete manifestation of sanctuary ‘detached office of the Kagero Institute’.』
The world is being rewritten.
“Unu? What is this? I was enjoying the flavor of this world. I won’t be able to enjoy this. You are once again getting in my way…”
I see those wicked masses squirming near Araysla’s feet. Are they not functioning properly because the ground is covered in Rose’s vines? They keep squirming, and the things that look like legs are contracting.
Rose’s vines wrap around them one after the other and crush them.
There’s another one near me. I see it just as Rose’s vines are lifting it.
It looks so sinister when I look at it up close.
It pulsates like a heart, and the veins growing from it split off into legs at some point.
Rose tightens the vines around it, and it lets out a high pitched noise as it’s crushed.
I see things that look like teeth where the noise came from.
“Gross…”
I whisper unconsciously.
“How awful of you to call my subjects gross. Are they not wonderfully efficient? You don’t understand the beauty of their functionality. Then again, what could one expect from a makeshift god?”
Araysla says while shaking her head. She still looks completely undisturbed. I don’t think she’ll be bothered no matter how many of her subjects are crushed by Rose.
Are they really her subjects? There sure are a lot of them.
Rose’s vines cover the world as far as the eye can see.
Araysla keeps sending her ‘subjects’ one after the other to eat this world. They’re really creeping all over the place.
“Well then, I think it’s time to put an end to this fake world and this makeshift god, and continue to enjoy eating.”
Araysla licks her lips, with Taula’s face.
She then spreads her arms widely, and her ‘subjects’ burst out from the palms of her hands one after the other.
