With the decision made, we swiftly moved forward.
Reve, Kanna, and me. We quickly make preparations to head to the Kingdom of Ryuse, and depart a week after the decision to go.
Well, it makes sense, considering this is a three person march, that you wouldn’t even think was representing a whole country.
We only need one carriage.
“All right, let’s go.”
Kanna is in the driver’s seat holding the reins.
She gives the signal to the two horses, and we advance with Reve and I in the carriage.
“I feel bad for making Kanna handle it alone.”
It’s just the three of us, and Kanna is the only one who can operate this. She’s going to take us to Ryuse and back to Minowa.
“You need to learn how to handle a carriage too, Noa.”
“I don’t think I can…”
“Eh? Why is that?”
“I guess animals can tell my status as a living being? The moment I touch a horse, it freezes and won’t go anywhere.”
All horses stop before me. They shrink back and do nothing.
“Yeah, he’s right. The moment he got here, the horses froze before the pressure of a dragon. Make sure you don’t come around to the front, or they won’t move. Stay back or you’ll make us take longer to get there.”
“That’s mean.”
“It’s reality.”
“Geez, I’m just trying to help.”
“Hmph, it’s not that hard. Leave it to me.”
“Fufu…”
Kanna sounds reliable, and Reve laughs.
“Our country doesn’t have luxurious carriages. It pales in comparison to other countries.”
And then she suddenly gets self-deprecating.
“Hn? Then why not ride me? Wouldn’t showing up riding a dragon make an impact? I can turn into a really big dragon.”
Physical Strengthening works perfectly in my dragon form.
I can become as big as a mountain… I’m a monster, so from the point of view of a stranger, I’m nothing but despair. It wouldn’t be odd to treat me like a god.
Who’d look down on someone showing up riding that?
“Please don’t, that would attract too much attention. I don’t think it would be commendable to cause a scene right at the start.”
“Y-you don’t have to get so serious…”
“I’m joking.”

“What are you two doing in there… It’s only the three of us here, so it’s dangerous to look weak like that when something happens. Especially you Noa. Make sure you do your best to protect Princess Reve.”
“I’m a dragon, you know? Ah… An enemy is approaching!”
Don’t worry, is what I was thinking just before I sensed a monster coming this way fast, and get up.
“Ah!?”
I quickly turn into a dragon and activate Physical Strengthening.
I stretch my tail out of the carriage, and match the approaching presence I feel, as I completely wrap around it.
“Giih!?”
“W-where from!?”
This monster made itself invisible with a skill, but by being grabbed by my tail, it was forced to reveal itself… It’s one of those that becomes visible when it takes a hit.
“Yoh.”
I use Wrap, and crush it with my tail.
“A-ahh, that was dangerous.”
The danger is gone… But it might have been a bit too close. Just a little.
I-I got flustered…
“Hey!? I told you to get it together!”
“Hehe… Sorry.”
Kanna yells from the driver’s seat, and I apologize.
I should’ve detected the monster’s presence sooner. And I would’ve done so if I focused.
It’s entirely my fault.
