Walking in another world – Chapter 394 – Judgment – Part one (Ryuryu’s point of view)

“You really think beasts like you can get away with this!?”

The person howling in front of me is the guy that stands on top of this country.

All I see is a powerless old man acting big, that looks like he’d die if King End smacked him a little… I hope he doesn’t get too worked up and hits him.

“Shouldn’t we be saying that to you? You’ve done some really terrible things, like sacrificing a lot of people, like elves. If the rest of the world learns of this… What would happen?”

Ooh, he really declared that with confidence.

He gets two points off though. One for that smug face, and one for not referring to elves with the proper tone of respect. My scolding doesn’t really work, so I need to tattle to my sister.

Hn? King End, the way you’re trembling is going to take even more points away.

“Hmph, what are these false accusations? You’re the ones who will be condemned for invading our country! Don’t think the empire will stay quiet about this, beasts! Not to mention that the elite squadron I set loose is currently putting down the demon king, the enemy of the entire world.

You’re going to have a lot to apologize for! How much trouble do you think I have put myself through for the benefit of you incompetent beasts!?”

How does that guy lie like that with no problem?

Is that this guy’s talent? Or are all kings of this country like this?

“Hou? Elite squadron? I really didn’t think that existed in this country full of weak people. Don’t tell me you brought them over from some place.”

King End’s attack is working. I saw that guy’s face twisting for a second.

But he’s thick-skinned, so his expression quickly goes back. I guess I should compliment him for that.

Actually, I’d rather if King End learned a little from that. He’s the kind of person whose face shows exactly what he’s thinking.

“What kind of joke is this!? Do you really think anyone will believe your lies!?”

“Lies? Like the elves imprisoned in the dungeon of this castle? What were those then?”

Don’t peek this way, King End. It looks kind of awkward.

“And… What about the black-haired girl that was also kept captive there? Wasn’t that where the holy sword used to defeat the demon king was supposed to be?”

Ah, he’s looking a little more shaken. And he’s clearly turning pale.

This is where we keep attacking.

What’s wrong!? Did he… Forget what he was going to say? There’s a good chance, considering the unsure way his tail is moving.

…! It just stretched straight up. He obviously just remembered it.

“Or should I elaborate more?”

…He didn’t remember a thing.

But at least the way he’s talking makes it sound like we know everything, so I guess it’s fine. He might be able to gloss over it.

But if it doesn’t work, at least remember what that boy told us about the state of that dungeon. I explained it to you three times, King End.

“…I see… Then we really can’t let you live. Not that I was thinking of doing so after everything you’ve done!”

When the old man says that, black clad people fall from the ceiling.

He was acting like he felt cornered, but was actually setting up a move to turn this around.

King End… Please don’t look relieved about that.

“Do it! Slaughter those beasts and their collaborators!”

The old man says with a smug expression while raising his hand high.

I’m sure he’s thinking that he just settled this himself. But unfortunately for him, those people aren’t moving.

Ah, he looks so baffled by how they aren’t following his orders. And so are the humans around him.

It looks like a lot of people close to him really do know what’s going on behind the scenes.

One… Or three, can’t seem to follow what’s happening. There’s a good chance those ones don’t know the darkness behind this country.

We should question them later though. It could just be an act.

“What’s wrong! Did you not hear my command!?”

The black clad people are all wearing masks. Slave masks… I’m pretty sure is what they’re called.

They take away people’s freedom, and turn them into dolls that only follow orders.

Not only are they more effective than slave contracts in preventing people from rebelling, but I’ve heard that they even have an effect to boost their power.

King End was impressed when he heard that, but it basically just makes them fight like they’re constantly in a frenzy.

And if you push your body too much like that, it’ll eventually give in.

“You dolls! Why do you think I bred you!?”

His abuse is really annoying.

He’s just going to keep spitting out stuff offensive to my ears if we let him.

“It’s no use. Those are not your dear dolls.”

King End raises his hand, and the black clad people remove their masks.

Those masks are just fakes. We’ve already neutralized the real ones that were on stand-by.

That’s what happens when you build a secret escape route.

The old man king takes a step back when he sees them. That was some good damage that was dealt.

King End, this is where you really strike and break his heart.

I’m pretty sure his tongue will become even looser if you push him.
