After asking Rurika and the others to ask in the adventurer guild if I can get the materials to create a magic item for communication, I stop by the merchant guild and alchemist guild.
Apparently they have what I need in the adventurer guild in Elesya, so I ask Rurika to send a message to take them to my house… My mansion in the capital.
That mansion is currently being looked after by people assigned by the beast king, but if I’m going to keep it as my own, I’ll have to get someone to do it eventually.
I’d need someone who won’t tell anyone about my Transfer skill… Which means I’d have to pick someone who will actually keep a secret. I guess the simplest option would be to hire a slave.
Maybe I should talk that over with someone. I don’t think I’m getting anywhere on my own.
And just as I’m dropping off some monster meat for Filo, Naoto and the others come back, so I tell them we’re going to the capital.
They really don’t want to go to Elesya, so they say they’re staying.
But Argo and his party want to go there too. They say they were so busy, that they didn’t get to say anything to people that looked after them there, so they want to go and do that.
I figured it wasn’t rare at all for adventurers to move around and not stay in one place for very long, but apparently they’ve been working in the capital for a long time.
I’ll take my party and Argo’s to the capital, and spend the day there.
“Ah, I forgot to say, but we’ll be landing in the ruins when we get back. Is that all right?”
They say yes. Well, Morrigan’s there, so Argo might be happy to stop by, even if it’s just to see her face. He really does only watch from afar.
And so, I use Transfer to go to the mansion, and see the materials have already been delivered.
I was going to start working right away, but Rurika and the others drag me along as they walk around the capital.
That said, this isn’t about sightseeing or anything. They want to buy things the people that lived in the faraway town asked them to get.
We could get those things in Nahal, but despite everything, this is still the biggest city in the kingdom. We should be able to get more, and for less.
They need things like daily necessities and clothes. We get stuff like cloth and a lot of supplies, and it all disappears inside the Item Box.
Then we get food, and alcohol. That’s something the women asked them to get, as a reward for the men that have been hard at work.
They made some alcohol in the faraway town too, but the location being what it was meant that they couldn’t make much. And since there were still many people who liked alcohol despite that, it meant that it caused fights sometimes.
We go back to the mansion after we’re finally done shopping, and see Argo and his party are already here.
Before we use Transfer to go back to the ruins, I gift some alcohol to the people looking after the mansion.
“By the way, what’s this town going to be called?”
“Grandma said it would be Eril, but I don’t think my sister likes it.”
Says Chris. Yes, Eril sounds like Eris. I don’t think that was the intention, but it probably still sticks out to Eris.
There are still a lot of things left in the ruins. People have been building houses at a rapid pace, but it’s still not enough for everyone. Of course, it’s not like it’s going to be one house per person, but they still have to build around a hundred houses.
Suiren’s in particular is going to house a lot of people, so she needs a big one.
“Back already?”
“We hurried back just for you, grandma.”
Says Rurika with a pout, and Morrigan just shakes her head.
“Then help us out here. It’ll be physical labor though.”
“Are you asking a frail girl to do physical labor!?”
“You’ve got strength to spare. You’ll be fine.”
Rurika complains, but she has a smile on her face, so it’s not serious.
She’s just happy that she gets to talk to Morrigan like this.
Sera joins her, and so does Chris, even though she’s the one who is actually not good with this sort of work.
At first I think about going along too, but someone calls me to the outer walls.
Hiriluk has been trying to set them up along with others, but it’s not going well, so I end up helping with Earth Magic.
They’re trying to do as much as they can by themselves, but apparently there’s a lot they’re not good at.
“We could build a wooden fence no problem, but this place doesn’t have a barrier, so we were told we should have proper walls.”
They’re going to be farming inside the walls too. Apparently they want to end up like Elesya’s South Gate City, with outer walls and internal walls, and farmland in the middle, but they are going to work on that later.
I keep building walls with Earth Magic where they planned, and once that’s over, I go help with the food.
After all this, I only get to start working on the communications device after dinner.

Thanks for the treat.
