Our first stop in Majolica is the house we were given.
I have a spare key, so we can get in even if no one’s here.
“It should be around here.”
I search for it with the help of Map, and it doesn’t take me long to find it. I had to use it because a lot of houses look the same around here.
“I’ve only been here once, but it really is a nice house, isn’t it?”
Says Mia, and everyone except Hikari nods.
It’s small compared to Yor and Leila’s houses, but way bigger than the house we rented before.
Everyone can have their own room, with rooms to spare. At least twice as many.
“How about we just go inside? It might need to be cleaned.”
Rurika’s right. It’s supposed to be cleaned periodically, but maybe it’s been a few days since it was last cleaned.
But just as we step into the grounds to go inside, the door suddenly opens.
There’s a small maid, with her eyes wide open.
“Sora? And… Hikari?”
She whispers, and behind her, there’s another girl… No, a boy peeking.
“Yes, it’s been a while. How have you been?”
Asks Hikari, and both run forward to hug her.
Elsa has a big smile on her face, and Alto looks happy too.
“I’m glad you both look well. And have you been cleaning the place?”
Mia also smiles.
“Ah, yes. We were just in the middle of it. But then Alto said there were people here, so we came to see, and there you were…”
Says Elsa, and Alto nods.
“Then let’s all clean together.”
“N-no. Cleaning is our job.”
“Don’t worry about it. The faster we finish, the sooner we get to hear about how you’ve been doing.”
Elsa immediately tries to stop Mia when she proposes we help, but Sera ignores it and goes inside.
I feel like she’s a bit forceful, but then again, Elsa would probably not agree otherwise.
Rurika and Chris follow her, and Elsa then rushes to chase after them too.
“Alto, take us inside.”
Alto nods to Hikari, and takes her and Mia by the hand inside.
That shy Alto has become this active… I feel surprised as I also go inside.
Elsa said they were in the middle of cleaning, but it looks clean already. Apparently they’ve been cleaning every five days.
They come here pretty frequently, but they say it’s also so they can practice cleaning.
◇ ◇ ◇
“Are you going to be here for a while?”
Elsa asks me, after we finish cleaning.
She also didn’t know for sure who I was at first, because I wasn’t wearing the mask. But she figured it was me because Hikari and the others are here too.
Alto is looking at me too, probably also wanting to know the answer.
“Yes, we’re going to the dungeon again, so we’ll be here for the time being.”
When I say that, both look happy.
“Ah, then we need to tell Mister Will too! H-hum, can we live with all of you again?”
“Yes, together. And look after the house.”
“Yes, we won’t have to worry about it if you do.”
Says Hikari, and Mia adds to it.
“Anyway, we have things to do, and you two probably have other work to do too. We’ll probably take it easy for two or three days, so make sure to talk about it over there.”
We need to go to the reference room of the guild to look into the dungeon, and get all sorts of things.
I have food and disposable items in the Item Box, but there might be things I’m missing.
And we need to rest too. We mostly traveled by wagon in the Holy Kingdom, but that doesn’t mean we’re not tired.
Well, I’m doing fine… And for some reason, so is Mia. Is it because her race changed to godlike? It could also be because her level is just higher, and her body got stronger.
Come to think of it, she was strong when we did mock battles too. She didn’t attack, but her dodging was incredible.
We keep talking with Elsa and Alto for a while. Since we all helped clean, they have time.
We talk about the countries we’ve been to, and they have fun listening. They’re especially interested in Hikari talking about food in other countries.
Yes, I know. I need to let them have some next time.
Hikari is looking at me like she’s asking for it, but if I give them food now, they won’t have room for dinner when they go back.
And then we say goodbye to them for now, and walk around Majolica.
I don’t really see anything new, but I feel nostalgic.
But I do see adventurers all over. Elsa actually told me there have been more around here lately.
It’s nice to have more people exploring the dungeon, but we’re the ones who have to reach the end.
But if they go further before we do, that means more information for us, so it’s definitely not a bad thing.
