Before lunchtime, Elsa and Alto bring us guests. It’s Bloody Rose.
Trisha is the one happiest to see us. The moment she sees Mia, she puts her palms together in prayer. We’re not the only ones surprised to see this either, her fellow party members are too. Is this also an effect of her godlike status? Actually, I feel like she was always like this with Mia, so it’s probably just because she hasn’t seen her in a while.
Other than that, Leila catches Hikari and feeds her sweets, and Yor starts asking Chris questions about magic.
I feel like this place fell into disarray right after we met again.
Elsa is flustered by this, and Alto is just doing his own thing.
“I was surprised when I saw you without your mask. You were so insistent about keeping it on.”
“I feel like it’s my first time seeing your real face.”
Say Leila and Yor, and everyone else nods.
I give them a simple explanation about why I had to hide my face because of matters related to Elesya, and I feel like that’s enough for Leila to figure things out.
Maybe a lot of information about me made its way to Will too.
“So you’re all going to the dungeon?”
“That’s the idea. And this time we’re really going in with the idea to conquer it. Last time we were here, there were other things we had to do.”
“Yes. I wish we could have helped, but we were busy with some things…”
Leila says they will be graduating from the academy soon, but they’re indecisive about what to do after that.
They’re going to stay a party, but they’ve been discussing whether to continue with just the five of them, or recruit new members.
They say if they do recruit new members, they aren’t going to try to reach new floors right away, and they’re going to take it easy instead.
“We know how strong you all are, but if you are going to the lower floors, you really should team up with other parties to increase your numbers.”
“I know, but… We can’t join a clan or anything.”
Guardian Sword has the manpower, and we know Jake, their leader.
But we’re going to have to move on to another dungeon after we conquer this one, so we can’t just casually join a clan.
“Ah, then what about Siphon’s? They came back about ten days ago. If I remember correctly, Rurika and Chris know them.”
“Siphon… Wasn’t he with Fred and the others?”
“They separated when Fred and the others went to the Beast Kingdom. Hum, well, the ones who came back here were Goblin’s Grief.”
Goblin’s Grief… That name makes me feel nostalgic.
I guess it would be easier to count on Siphon’s party. Not to mention that I don’t have to hide my identity anymore.
Also, there’s a reason why I think Siphon’s party wouldn’t have a problem even if we went to the lower floors. Their levels.
I wasn’t too concerned about that when we saw each other again in Majolica, and didn’t cast Appraisal. But I did in the Dragon Kingdom when they accepted a quest with Rurika and Chris. And Fred’s party too.
But I saw that Goblin’s Grief were pretty high leveled.
If I count backwards, their levels must have been pretty high when I met them in Elesya too. To the point where it’s strange that they were C rank.
Of course, they could’ve hunted monsters like crazy after I said goodbye to them, but Goblin’s Grief never seemed that intense about accepting quests.
It would be different if they came across a stampede like Bloody Rose did, but I didn’t hear about that.
“We should discuss this with Rurika and Chris. Some things will be easy, and some not so much.”
It’s going to be awkward when we talk about me though. I think it’s best to just say why I did it, and apologize.
“Fufu, then I’ll talk to Rurika and Chris. If it’s not a problem, can I tell them you’re here?”
“Yes, if Rurika and Chris don’t mind.”
And they say they don’t. That means I have to face it now.
Rurika and Chris are apologetic, because they know my circumstances, but there’s no way around it. And I’m sure they’ve made that decision too, because it makes things more certain if we’re teaming with people we know.
“Then we will tell you when we make contact with them.”
We have lunch with Leila and the others, and they stay here until just before the sun sets. It’s mainly because of Trisha and Yor, so Mia and Chris are exhausted by the time they leave.
I talked to Yor too, but it was Chris who took the brunt of the questions. That’s probably because she does a better job explaining things. After all, I just learn things with points, so I don’t know anything about the basics.
As a way to reward them for their efforts, I cook what they want with Elsa and Alto.
Oh, and I delivered Dan’s letter to Yor. She didn’t look happy about it, but I did ask her to respond just once. But I emphasized the just once part.
I want to think that means he got his wish.
After all, I don’t have the power to influence her to change her mind.
