Walking in another world – Chapter 462 – Helping with the preparations to move

The next day, after having breakfast, we go straight to the merchant guild.

It’s typically empty, but today it’s crowded for once. Well, it’s not like I come here frequently, so I don’t know what it’s like usually.

And it’s only my second time here since we returned to Majolica.

“You’re looking for a house?”

Chris explains why we’re here when it’s our turn. And when she tells the receptionist it’s for a lot of people…

“Are you starting a new clan?”

The receptionist asks with a kind of serious expression.

Could it be that a lot of people are looking for a house for that reason nowadays?

In any case, we explain what kind of place we’re after, and we’re introduced to a few options.

They’re a little bigger than we were expecting, but that’s all right. It’s because I figure they should have a proper bath.

“Are you sure?”

Chris asks, sounding worried, but we’ve made quite a bit of money, so it should be fine.

I’m thinking more about it being a pain to clean.

“Then we should bring a few people first. They’ll need to sort out furniture they need and stuff like that.”

Rurika is right. And when Chris contacts them with the communications device, they say they’ll have people, mostly women, ready to go at all times.

And since there’s a Transfer magic item in Eril, I can also go at any time.

“Then Chris, I’m going there in the afternoon, so can you help me?”

We need to prepare, so it will be in the afternoon.

And since Elsa and Alto are wearing their new clothes and everything, we want to stroll around the city a little more.

Alto didn’t seem to think much of it, but Elsa was a little embarrassed when she got changed.

But it looks like she’s slowly getting used to it, as she walks while holding hands with Hikari and seems to have fun with her and Alto.

Kids should play around without worries, but that sort of thing is rare in this world. I guess it depends on their circumstances.

Come to think of it, I wouldn’t call my party members’ childhoods normal either. Hikari was raised by Elesya to be a spy, and Mia left her parents and stayed in the church when her Holy Magic awakened.

Rurika, Sera, and Chris suffered from the war, leading Rurika and Chris to train to become adventurers, and Sera to be forced to fight in the dark forest as a slave.

Looking at it this way, we have to go to dungeons because we have an objective to accomplish, but making time to relax like this is important.

“What’s wrong, Sora?”

“Ah, nothing. I was just thinking that spending time like this once in a while is nice.”

I say to Mia after she turns around and tilts her head.

“It’s true, when we’re going to dungeons, that’s all we think about. Especially you Sora, because you always overdo it and do too much at once. You should relax more.”

Mia says with a smile.

“…It would help if you read documents and told me about the dungeon.”

For some reason, Mia turns her head.

Well, reading those things is pretty bland work, so everyone’s kind of bad at it except Chris.

Sometimes Hikari tries to help, but she falls asleep before I know it. I just make sure she remembers what she really needs.

In the end, we only go back after having lunch, because the others say we should give Siphon and Yuno more time, since they’re alone.

And when we do get back, Siphon tells me that Leila said they’re going to gather in front of the dungeon in three days.

She will also drop by the day before to talk about it in more detail.

Then we take a Transfer magic item outside the city, and fly to Eril.

I could transport them directly to the house, but I think it would be best to actually have them cross the gate.

The first group consists of Hiriluk and someone else to act as sort of guards and assistants, and eight women and children.

I put everything they need in the Item Box, and…

“Sora, please look after everyone.”

Says Suiren.

Then everyone enters the city with their own identification, and heads to the house, where they get busy doing things like cleaning.

We help them, and so does Siphon’s party, so we manage to get everything ready, and bring the others before we head back to the dungeon.

“We’re going to become adventurers too after we get used to life here. We’re all confident in our strength, you know?”

Says Hiriluk as he talks to the other men. The women will be looking after the kids, and also looking for work.

I don’t know if she’s joking, but one says she could become an adventurer too.

“No, she’s serious.”

Says Hiriluk with a shudder. Is she actually pretty strong?
