Walking in another world – Chapter 465– Majolica’s dungeon – Request – Part three

They’re mostly diligent people anyway, but the students of Majolica really absorb things fast.

It’s pretty incredible how they tell the medicinal herbs apart and how many they get. And they only pick good quality ones too.

“I-it’s impressive.”

“Yeah. We wouldn’t stay focused for so long.”

Rurika and Sera are impressed, because they’re not really good at picking.

But the students don’t just show growth with medicinal herbs, with cooking too, especially the male ones. But there’s a reason for that.

After all, the ones that are good at cooking are getting attention, and the others are trying hard to take it for themselves.

“Yes yes. Most people that can cook don’t become adventurers, so they’re pretty precious.”

“That’s right. We have been to different countries, but everywhere we went, most adventurers didn’t cook.”

Say Rurika and Chris, although here, that’s the result of the intense looks of the female students.

But regardless of the reason, they’re doing their best.

Now what’s left is how to keep watch, pick a place to set up camp, and things like taking apart wolves and bloody snakes. I start to think that maybe this is packing in too much, but everyone listens to us, and no one complains.

“If you want to keep them for food, it’s important to drain their blood.”

“And if you hunt multiple ones, you can take another apart while one drains.”

And we talk about how to make use of things normally discarded too.

“I didn’t know how it would turn out, but I’m glad I asked you, Sora.”

“Wasn’t it the academy that asked?”

“They were talking about ways to hunt safely, but this was my idea.”

Says Leila with a happy tone while looking at the students.

“Why did you think to do it?”

Asks Mia as I talk to Leila.

“We went to the Holy Kingdom during the advent festival and took Casey to the Dragon Kingdom, so I think experiencing things outside the dungeon played a big part. But I don’t want to jump into the lower floors blindly yet, I want to see more.”

And she says she wishes she would have noticed that sooner.

“Are you going to cook too?”

“I-I practice at home, so no. It’s a senior’s job to yield the path to her juniors.”

She says to Mia, which sounds a little fishy to me, but I think it would be kinder of me to let it go.

Then we hunt monsters, pick not just medicinal herbs, but fruits and berries too, and head to the sixth floor’s staircase.

“Thank you for today.”

“Hikari, next time tell me what stalls you like.”

“Chris, next time let’s discuss magic more.”

“Mia, let’s talk about holy magic more next time.”

“Sera, please let me have a rematch.”

“See you next time, Rurika!”

We finish up in the purchasing counter of the guild, and everyone heads back to the academy while thanking us.

“Aren’t you going, Leila?”

“Casey and I are going home. So Sora, when are we going to the fifteenth floor?”

“…The sooner the better. But if it looks like it will take time to get ready, I want to finish up the thirtieth-floor first… What do you think?”

“…Then we will do it when you all get back.”

We’re going in the same direction part of the way, so we go together.

It feels like Leila actually has a lot to talk about, and she asks a lot of questions along the way.

We didn’t really get to talk a lot last time we met, so we tell them what we’ve been doing too.

“So you found Chris’ sister?”

“Yes, and grandma too.”

“The one you talked about, that was always full of energy?”

“Yes. She wasn’t feeling too well when we found her, but she is back to normal now.”

Leila and Casey are as happy to hear that as if it were about them.

“You talked about going to other dungeons too, but how long will you be staying in Majolica?”

“We’re heading to the bottom, so it’s a matter of how many floors are left.”

“Ah, that’s true, we don’t know. I’m pretty sure the neighboring Prekes has twenty floors.”

I heard that from Naoto and the others too.

It doesn’t have a lot of floors, but each one is big, and if the environment there is bad, it can be a lot of trouble.

But still, they had the support of not just Elesya, but the feudal lord of Prekes too, so I think they were pretty privileged when it came to that.

The knights accompanying them were strong, and apparently looked after them too all the way until the twentieth floor.

“Well then Sora, get in touch when you leave the dungeon. The gatekeepers know Elsa, so you can ask her.”

We say goodbye to them, and after resting and preparing for three days, we head back to the thirty-fifth floor.
