Walking in another world – Chapter 467 – Majolica’s dungeon – 35F – Part two

The first monster we come across is the silent killer bee. And just like the name implies, it’s different from killer bees in that its wings don’t make noise.

Normally they wouldn’t be that troubling, but my enemy searching skills like Presence Detection not working as well as they should and the mist making it hard to see are making things difficult.

“But it still isn’t too bad.”

A silent killer bee weaves through the trees to approach us, but is taken out when Hikari silently gets behind it.

It looks like they’re still easy to deal with, as long as Hikari can sense them. Her dagger and flexibility are perfect for dealing with them.

“Master, be careful. It’s not over.”

Just as Hikari says that, I pick up monster reactions on Presence Detection.

It looks like multiple silent killer bees are coming from deeper in the forest.

I grab the smaller shield I bought the other day, and hold my mithril sword tightly with my right hand.

The silent killer bees that come are about as big as a child’s head, meaning they’re a little smaller than regular killer bees. But the stinger looks about twice as big.

I mostly thrust at them. Attacking a fast moving monster like this is hard because there isn’t a lot to hit, but the difference in physical abilities is also important.

Attacking with my shield also works well, because it’s small and easy to swing, and I take out around ten monsters. But Hikari manages to take down even more.

“Let’s take them apart later.”

“…Yes.”

I say, and Hikari sounds a little disappointed. She really wants that honey.

The silent killer bees keep attacking, but Hikari and Orga play a big part in us making quick work of them.

Also, Chris and Yuno help a lot by using their Wind Magic to throw off the air current, and use tornado magic.

“We might destroy the environment if we use it at full power in the forest, so…”

Says Chris.

Rurika says that it happened when they did quests in the woods. But even if we feel bad about it, our survival always takes precedence.

If that happened in a village or something, now that would be a problem, but Chris is still looking into ways to not damage the trees.

Yuno says that Chris has been teaching her stuff like how to infuse magic energy. Everyone’s been learning from each other from what I can see. Actually, I’ve been learning all sorts of things about how to fight with a shield from Geitz too.

“Should we take a break? Fighting with such bad visibility is bad for the nerves, and makes us more tired.”

Siphon’s right, they might be more tired from having to focus more.

And me? I’m walking, so it’s fine.

I cast a shield surrounding everyone, which is nice because it only spends MP once.

That also means it’s weaker, but it should protect us against sneak attacks.

I take something like a thermos with a hot drink from the Item Box, and pour it into cups for everyone.

“Ah, that’s really relaxing.”

“Thanks.”

“I’m kind of scared of us getting used to it though.”

Rurika and Sera sound relaxed, while Jin worries about the future.

He’s thinking about when we have to say goodbye and they work alone again. I think Leila said something similar before.

“Can’t you buy a high-performance magic bag with the money you make in the dungeon?”

“That’s not something we can buy just by having money.”

“Yes, Sora. Those things don’t come around in auctions too often.”

Say Siphon and Rurika.

I guess if people could buy them by working as adventurers, I’d see a lot more of them.

Apparently most people that sell them are either strapped for money, or retiring from adventuring.

“Well, the ones with lower performance are sold more often. But those don’t preserve things for too long.”

“But then you could store stuff like pots to heat things. You could use items or wood to maintain a fire, and Yuno could light it.”

“That’s too much work…”

Says Siphon, glossing over what I’m saying.

It really isn’t. I’m sure the girls feel the same way.

“What about magic items for cooking? I think it would be easier with those.”

Says Rurika, and Siphon and the others just look troubled.
