Walking in another world – Chapter 499 – Majolica’s dungeon – 50F – Part two

“The titan is currently alone, but we don’t know what might happen, so don’t let your guard down!”

Says Jake, and the members of Guardian Sword respond.

In the boss rooms we’ve beaten so far, monsters are either summoned back, or revive after some time, but this is the first time a boss stands alone.

“What should the sorcerers do? Stand back?”

One of them asks Jake, and he thinks about it.

Adventurers tend to speak in a rough way, and that doesn’t change when they’re talking to their clan leader either.

“…A few of you move to protect them. More monsters might appear, and they may attack from a distance.”

He says after pondering it.

We also saw it, so Mia, Chris, Yuno, and I are going to stay here for now.

Mia and Chris have the shields from the magic items, and I’ve given one to Yuno too. The issue is that they drain a lot of magic energy, so they can’t keep using them again and again.

I’ll have the golems stand-by here too.

“Sorry, but we’ll have to leave them to you.”

Ash fights in the front, so he says he’s leaving the sorcerers with us and runs forward.

I use both Presence Detection and Magic Energy Detection to watch out for additional monsters., and watch the people fighting in front.

They want to encircle the titan, so they’re fighting somewhere with no obstructions.

The shield users are in front, but since they don’t know exactly how strong it is, they’re mostly focused on dodging.

They do a good job encircling at first, baiting it somewhere, and then attacking it from behind. But while slashes on its exposed skin do some damage, it has great regeneration abilities, so most wounds are quickly gone.

Even a wound caused by an attack from Rurika’s magic energy infused mithril sword is gone in ten seconds.

They’re going to need to keep attacking it, to the point where it has no time to regenerate, but it feels like the titan knows who will be a threat, because it’s now blocking some attacks and ignoring some people.

That lessens our numerical advantage, and in fact makes it so some of our attacks are just in the way.

The titan also looks to be moving its body in a way to control them.

From what I can see, the only ones from Guardian Sword doing damage are Gabin and Ash. From our side, I think it’s Siphon, Jin, and Sera? Rurika could do it too if she could attack more, but continuing to attack for a long time might be rough on her stamina.

I infused the mithril sword with magic energy, so at least that shouldn’t be an issue.

Hikari is trying to numb it, but it’s not working, most likely because of its regeneration.

The ones whose attacks aren’t working are starting to step back so they don’t get in the way.

They don’t want to waste stamina on useless attacks, want to be ready in case something happens, and also don’t want to get hurt and put more of a burden on the others.

We have people who can use Holy Magic, but the one from Guardian Sword can only do it twenty times.

I have plenty of healing and mana potions, but those stop working if we keep using them.

And as I’m thinking about that, the titan suddenly attacks shield users on the opposite side of Geitz’s.

Two of them block it, but the titan breaks through by force, and ignores slashes as it heads towards a destroyed building.

Siphon and the others chase it, but the titan stops in front of the building and swings its club like a bat.

The building is small compared to the titan, so the club sends pieces of it flying over here.

Shield users like Geitz step forward to protect the others, but the pieces are flying over here to the back row too.

I step forward and use the Shieldmaster skill Aura Shield to block them, but it doesn’t stop there. It breaks another building, then another.

Pieces fly around randomly, stopping the shield users completely.

The pieces fly pretty fast too, so even just grazing someone would leave a mark.

Everyone is hiding behind shields, looking for an opportunity to counter attack, but the titan gives none.

I really didn’t expect the boss to use the terrain around it like this. And it’s not just the pieces flying around, the buildings raise dust too.

Our vision is blocked, and I can’t see the titan. But I can still tell how it’s moving through Presence Detection.

It’s not moving towards another building, it’s clearing going after adventurers.

If it went towards Geitz and the others, they might have dealt with it. And I might’ve been able to tell Rurika, Hikari, and Orga, who are behind him.

But it’s going after Guardian Sword. It’s hiding in the dust as it swings its club towards a shield user that was guarding against the rubble.
