“No, I’m not entering the tournament.”
“W-why?”
That one sentence from me changes the beast king’s face into one of shock.
Why is he upset?
“Well, we can go in the dungeon if we have an adventurer of B rank or higher, right?”
The beast king turns to Argo and the others. Or more precisely, he really glares at them.
Argo’s party is A rank, so all we’d need was for one of them to accompany us.
“N-no. We’re not going to the dungeon together.”
The next ones to catch the eyes of the beast king are Siphon’s party.
I’m sure he can sense their strength by the way they carry themselves… Probably.
“We didn’t talk about going together either.”
He doubts Siphon, but we actually didn’t talk about it.
We have six people in our party, seven with Kaina… Do golems count?
I could turn the golem back into just its core and summon it again in the dungeon, but I don’t do that when Kaina’s consciousness is in it.
“H-hum, we’re B rank, so we meet the conditions, right?”
Chris raises her card with both hands while reluctantly turning to the beast king.
“…Y-yes, Chris…! You’re B class?”
He looks at Chris, while she looks up at him, and gets even more shaken.
And his voice is clearly weird.
“Y-yes.”
Chris nods.
“Give up. You’re not gonna get permission without Mister End’s approval. And do you want to go there as soon as possible?”
Says Ryuryu.
“No, we just got here, so we’re going to look for an inn. And if Naoto and Shun are entering, we want to watch and cheer them.”
Actually, where are Kotori and the others staying?
Shizune has a lot of catching up to do too, so it’d be nice if they stayed together. And while we were in Elesya, Siphon and Argo… Yuno wouldn’t like that.
Then there’s the fact that with all the people here for the tournament, we might not find empty rooms.
“An inn? That might be tricky now. But don’t worry, I got one for you, because Kotori asked.”
That’s reassuring, but…
“It’s cheap.”
Did that show on my face?
The beast king looks really happy to hear this, so that’s worrying.
“So we have an inn? Can we go after hearing a bit more about the dungeon?”
“No problem. Kotori, you can take them. Mister End, let’s go back and finish the work that’s piled up.”
I see the beast king being dragged away by Ruyryu, and go hear more about the dungeon.
But as for the beast king… People looked surprised when he arrived, but not so much about him leaving… I guess those two’s relationship is the same everywhere.
Argo, Naoto, and others also say they’re leaving.
“Argo and the others are going to train them for the tournament.”
Kaede, Kotori, and Miharu are staying, because they have more to talk about with Shizune. Kotori seems worried.
Shun looks like he doesn’t really want to leave, but then Naoto and the others say something to him, and he gets fired up.
Then we head to the reception desk of the dungeon, and have a receptionist explain it.
Aside from everything I heard about the Fors dungeon, this one also has monsters continuously come out.
The rooms are small, so if a hundred monsters immediately came out, no one would be able to move.
But since the number of monsters that appear are fixed, apparently the door to the next floor opens when they’re all down.
Also, the timing is fixed as well, so if we take too long, we’ll be swarmed with monsters.
Then we hear about the monster materials. First, when monsters are killed, they disappear, but that doesn’t mean we don’t get materials. We can get them in a ready to take state.
Not every monster drops materials, but monsters like superior specials always do.
That saves us the trouble of taking monsters apart, but it might not be a good way to make money. But then again, since not everyone has item bags or magic bags, that system might be better.
And then there are also treasure chests that appear when all monsters are down. Incidentally, there are three types of materials we can get from chests. First are magic stones, but we can only get as many as monsters we take down. Then there are materials from those monsters, and lastly, random items.
Those last random items don’t always appear, so apparently it’s down to luck.
The higher we go, the better the items get, but some lucky people can get them in the lower floors too.
There’s also a rule about not being able to return to a floor we already beat until some amount of time has passed. This is feeling more and more like a video game to me.
