After hearing Ryuryu’s explanation, I understand why her friend Nell is nervous.
So she feels divine power… And she said she could feel it from the smithy too, so there’s no doubt about it.
Sora says my race was changed to godlike, so I assume that is why.
Then we have Chris, who received divine protection from Miss Eliana, and Kaina, who is directly under Mister Calotos.
I don’t know how much I should talk about this, but I think we should fix up this misunderstanding.
Actually, we should tell Elsa and Alto too. It would be a good thing going forward, but I should first talk it over with Chris and Kaina.
And Sora… Can I just report it to him later?
The three of us leave for a bit to talk.
“…I think it would be good, if it never leaves this place.”
Chris is most worried about this reaching the ears of the beast king. Ahh… If he knew we were asked by a god to conquer dungeons…
‘Then I’ll help too!’
Is what he would most likely say.
We can just talk to Nell about it, but since Ryuryu already knows about divine power, it would be a problem if she told her sister about it when she got back, so Chris thinks we should also explain it to her here.
“Anyway, make sure this doesn’t leave this room.”
We say to the others.
Elsa and Alto won’t be a problem. Shizune… Let’s have Elsa and Alto hammer that into her head.
“Ryuryu, you can’t tell your sister about this, okay?”
I say it in a slightly threatening tone, and Nell stands up straight as Ryuryu tells it to her.
I feel like I’m doing something bad. Nell’s face is pale.
When she calms down, we tell her why she feels divine power from us.
First, me. I’m a former saint, and a goddess took over my body.
“And that is why you feel divine power in me.”
Elsa and Alto are really surprised, but Nell even more so.
“That’s… Yeah, you would want to keep that a secret from King End.”
Says Ryuryu with an awkward smile.
Right?
“Is that why Sora wants to learn smithing and stuff?”
“Yes, I think it’s to help us going forward. We have only conquered one dungeon so far.”
That leaves six. It’s nice that we have information about dungeons others conquered, but some remain unconquered.
This means we will have to investigate them as we go along, like in Majolica’s, and be ready for anything that may come.
We can always turn back, unless we are in something like a boss room, but we also have to be prepared for traps that could make us unable to do that.
“But Nell, you can feel divine power, but can you hear god’s voice?”
I also heard the goddess’ voice through oracles.
“Ah, I can, but…”
She seems troubled.
“I know ’bout that. My sister told me. They’re whispers you don’t really understand, right?”
Nell nods.
“It happens once every few years, but it’s things like ‘I’m hungry’, or ‘I wanna hit something’.”
If it’s a male voice, that rules out the goddess or Miss Eliana.
In fact, it sounds like someone talking in his sleep.
“That is most likely Mister Stia. I heard about him from Mister Calotos.”
Says Kaina. If it’s the dog god Stia, that does make some sense.

At this point, Nell has calmed down quite a bit. There is some nervousness left, but nothing compared to how she was at first.
Then I take out of my item bag what Ryuryu asked us to buy in the city. They are sweets that Sora handed to me this morning.
“Fufu, it’s tasty stuff bought in the city. I’m sure you’ll like them.”
Nell’s eyes are shining, but she quickly straightens her posture.
“I cannot possibly accept it all for myself.”
She says, but Ryuryu saw that coming.
“It’s fine, we got enough for the whole village!”
Ryuryu turns to me.
“Yes, Ryuryu asked us to, so we brought enough for everyone.”
I say, and Nell finally reaches towards the sweets.
Once she takes a bite, she opens her eyes wide, but immediately continues eating.
Looks like she likes them. I understand her reaction, but she feels embarrassed about us watching her, so her face turns red.
“There is still a lot, so let’s take our time eating. You too, Elsa and Alto.”
Once we start eating, Nell joins us.
And now that her nervousness is completely gone, she starts talking about the village, Ryuryu about the city, and we talk about our travels.
