“I see. I think I got it.”
Naoto and the others hear about it from Leila, but the reception isn’t good.
It’s easy to see on their faces.
The only people here I can see being teachers are Siphon and Geitz. They’re helpful, and good at explaining things.
Argo isn’t bad either, but he isn’t good at putting things in order.
Naoto and Shun are just baffled.
“You can’t do it?”
“We’re not good speakers. But the Fortuna academy…”
Siphon crosses his arms and looks at Yuno.
“So you’re managing the academy, but do you have a goal?”
Siphon was with Leila’s party for a while, so he’s speaking on behalf of the others.
“I passed by Prekes on the way here, but the first order of business will be lowering the entry age.”
“Why?”
“Because the orphanages are in a terrible state as well. The academy has dormitories, so if we get them to enroll, we could give them an education that could lead to a good future.”
Leila’s eyes stop on Elsa and Alto for a moment. I’m sure Siphon noticed it too.
But it sounds like she doesn’t know if that will be possible. She’s going to tell it to her mother, but it’s still uncertain if they’re going to have the budget.
“I personally don’t mind if there’s a set period. And we get regular days off.”
“That can be arranged.”
Siphon sounds a little positive. Argo and Naoto on the other hand don’t look like they want to do it.
Shun doesn’t look like he likes the idea of teaching, but he’s kind of interested in the magic academy. Miharu and Kotori are the same.
I guess it would make sense to be curious about an academy in another world, even if enrolling in it is a different story.
And since Leila and the others tell them pretty much all they’re doing, there’s no real reason to go there.
In my case, I can already learn magic skills, but I could see myself enrolling back when I came here the first time. Especially to learn more about this world.
But age restrictions… Now I’m thinking about Elsa and Alto.
They can’t come with us, but if they go to the magic academy, that might give them more options.
This is what I want, but they have their own ideas, so we’ll have to talk about that. They’ll probably agree if I say it, but pushing them into anything will just be a bother to them.
“I think that’s all from me. I’m sure you can’t make a decision on the spot, and I will be here for another week, so… Yes… I will come by again in five days to hear from you.”
Then we talk about what Leila was doing in the capital, and what we’ve been up to.
We can’t talk about the village of the giants until the beast king makes an official announcement, but now that the problem with the dungeon has been solved, they should start to interact on an official basis. I don’t know how that will turn out, but I told them to contact me through the guild’s messaging service if they need help.
It sounds like the tournament is a hot topic of discussion even in the Magic State, especially the fight between the beast king and Shun. And how he managed to corner the beast king quite a bit.
I’m sure people would be surprised to hear Mia KO’ed him, even if it was a mock battle. I think anyone who wasn’t there wouldn’t believe it.
“See you next time.”
After Leila leaves, we start talking about what we’re going to do next.
“Are you going to Prekes’ dungeon too?”
“That’s the plan.”
“…We accepted a quest, so I don’t know if we can help.”
“Don’t worry about that. And I approve of Siphon and the others becoming teachers.”
Says Rurika, because she learned a lot from them.
Also, Jin, Guilford, and Yuno are great adventurers. They’re exactly the people you want if there are going to be classes in the dungeon.
“But we don’t have to go to Prekes next.”
Says Rurika, and I agree. We haven’t fully decided what dungeon we’re going to next.
Prekes is near, but with Transfer, we can be back anytime.
I also want to see the empire if I can. I’ve been there before, but we were just passing on our way to the black forest.
Things were different than usual too because of the war with the demon king, and Sera’s former master also meant we couldn’t take our time there.
From what I’ve heard, it’s not the kind of place where I want to sightsee, but I still want to see what it’s like.
And there are three dungeons there anyway.
