Walking in another world – Chapter 653 – Zuirya dungeon – Part seventeen

We go back to the inn after beating the demon lord. I’m honestly pretty tired…

It’s not just because I fought multiple demons for a long time, but also because of the reaction from the other adventurers in the guild.

I didn’t expect all that fuss. We’d still be there if it wasn’t for Argo and his party.

“It’s temporary. They’re just surprised about someone beating the seventh floor without Jetblack’s help. It will cool off eventually.”

“I hope so.”

I say to Rurika.

“So Sora, what are we doing tomorrow?”

“Rest the whole day, and look into the eighth floor the day after. And go back to the dungeon the day after that.”

“That sounds good, we can rest tomorrow. I don’t feel like going outside… Maybe we can soak in a nice bath.”

That sounds tempting. Especially when the exhaustion is piling up.

Everyone else agrees with Mia’s idea too.

And that’s what we do, take it easy in the inn the next day.

Argo and the others don’t go out, so they go drink in the tavern… More like a bar, that only customers can use.

I don’t drink, so I didn’t even know about that place.

The day after that, we go to the guild’s reference room.

It’s a bit late, so there aren’t many people here

Adventurers start the day early. My sense of time gets screwed up when I’m in the dungeon.

So the eighth floor… It has ogres and red ogres, and the quota is two hundred.

It doesn’t specify separate quotas for ogres and red ogres.

“Red ogres are strong, but there’s nothing to watch out for other than that.”

“I don’t think that’s true. Look, it says that when ogres and red ogres appear together, red ogres take the lead and they’re harder to hunt.”

Guilford says, after Argo spoke nonchalantly.

It also says that red ogres go into a frenzy when cornered, making them more troublesome.

The real issue with that isn’t that they’re harder to beat, it’s that they attack friend and foe, and if they take down other ogres, they don’t count for our quota.

“So we should prioritize ogres if they appear together.”

“I guess. And like the boss of the seventh floor, someone can keep the red ogres busy. They take the lead, but still come out and fight.”

And unlike orc generals, they don’t give very detailed orders.

“Well, I think it’s easier to overpower them.”

Says Argo, and the rest of his party nods.

That would just be an issue of compatibility, but I guess they have confidence in their power. And I think in their experience too.

It would be different if they were like demons, and physical attacks didn’t work too well.

“And I’m worried that when it’s easy for people like us to hunt them, we have to compete for the monsters. The ninth floor looks like it’ll be trouble too.”

Says argo while looking at a document about that floor.

The ninth floor has an assortment of the monsters that appear on the previous floors. There’s even a low chance of a lord roaming around.

And yet, there are still many people hunting there, because there are a lot of treasure chests. People risk their lives for those, but I guess that’s what being an adventurer is about.

Also, if you happen to get a super rare one, you’re set for life.

Save money slowly and steadily, or take risks to follow your dreams. It also means the difference between leaving that occupation sooner. Although some people keep being adventurers even after hitting a rare.

We end up looking into both floors, and then go back.

The next day, we’re all ready, so we head to the eighth floor.

“It’s easy to prepare with Sora around. Normally it would take time to tackle the dungeon again, because we’d need to prepare our food and tend to our equipment. If you can afford extra equipment, you can alternate between using it and having it serviced, but you’d need at least three sets.”

One to use, one to keep as a spare, and the other one being serviced.

It varies from person to person, but I don’t think clans worry about this sort of thing. The clans supply equipment.

That’s a plus, but they’re always going to have disagreements about their activities, so there has to be an upside.

Not to mention that the more people they have, the more likely it is that there will be people you don’t like.

That’s not related to me at all, so there’s no point thinking about it.
