We’ve been in the dungeon for a week. We haven’t left even once.
It’s not just us either, the same goes for all the miners in this area.
“How much longer are you going to mine?”
Someone asks.
“We honestly don’t know.”
We have plenty of stuff like food, so we can keep going. However, Hikari and the others are showing signs of exhaustion, probably because we’re doing something different than usual.
But the reason why we’re unsure is because I feel like if I dig a little deeper, I can harvest good ore.
Appraisal can’t tell me what it is because it’s behind a thick wall, but it does show a pretty large magic energy reaction.
I want to mine until there at least, but if all goes well, it should take a couple of days.
And when we add the time it will take to go back, we would have to stay here for three days.
“Ou, is there a problem? You look serious.”
Asks Argo.
“Argo? Why are you here?”
“Well, you weren’t coming back, so we came here to check how you were doing. We were bored anyway.”
He says while scratching his face, and Guilford and the others smile awkwardly.
I guess he was worried but can’t bring himself to say it.
“So how’s the mining going? I heard rumors in the guild about people cooking in the dungeon, but that’s you, right?”
“Of course it’s them. Their food is great.”
Says a man who mines around this area, before I can respond.
Also, it’s nighttime now, and five of us are keeping watch while everyone else is sleeping.
I can hear mining sounds in the distance, but we don’t work at this hour.
The number one reason is so we can keep a consistent lifestyle. We eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and sleep at night. It’s become like this because we provide meals, but it’s also because people here are not in a large group.
Those who are in large groups get to have day and night shifts.
But it’s the meals that have the biggest impact. If it wasn’t for that, they’d follow the same pattern as always, working in shifts and leaving after they mined their quota.
“You really do things your own way.”
“You don’t look surprised.”
Says the man to an exasperated Argo.
“Well, we explored a dungeon together. It was great how they cooked there like it wasn’t a big deal.”
Says Argo, and the rest of his party nods.
“Chris’ food is so tasty.”
“Yes, and Mia’s smile is so healing.”
“Hikari’s meat skewers are the best.”
The other guys keeping watch all respond to Argo.
“So why the grave face, Sora?”
“I might find something good if I keep mining, but it’s been a week already. It’s normally not enough for us to get tired, but this is a different kind of dungeon.”
We’ve been in dungeons for over ten days straight multiple times, but I think staying in the same place, not fighting monsters, and doing repetitive work like swinging a hammer is making us feel more tired.
In a way, cooking is a refreshing change of pace.
The guys say it’s a big help even if it isn’t free, but it’s a big help for us too.
“I see. Then how about you leave for a bit? We can stay here and save your spot.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. The weapons we ordered will take some time to be ready. And you might want to check on the ore exchange situation. You probably have more than enough to go to the next floor.”
“I see, I’ll do that.”
“Go rest, that goes for the rest of you too. We’ll take over.”
Monsters don’t appear if we mine deep enough, so being deep in a mine is safe.
The reason is simple. Golems can’t spawn in tight places. Although they will if we mine until there’s enough room, but people refrain from doing so for that very reason.
This only goes for the first floor. Things change on the second.
People still keep watch because they might spawn in open areas and break walls, or block the tunnel. It’s also a way to assert to others that this is your spot.
The miners look troubled after Argo called out to them. They know we know Argo’s party, but I think they’re worried about if they’re capable enough.
I think it’s because they don’t look that strong. And they’re wearing pretty light equipment right now.
That’s because it was made using good materials, but someone who doesn’t know wouldn’t notice.
“It’s okay, they’re A rank adventurers.”
I say just to confirm it, and the guys bow and ask them to keep watch.

Thanks for the latest updates, & hope everybody has a good weekend. 😎👍
Thanks for the treat. 👍
