“We’ll be going back then.”
With the change over for the most part, Argo’s party heads to the exit, and we go deeper into the first floor.
I guess there’s no one this far in, but we safely take down the seven golems we find along the way.
There’s a door with ornaments at the end of this passage, with a pedestal and a box next to it.
I touch the pedestal, put the items needed in the box, and we are granted access to the second floor.
We register one at a time, and enter the second floor.
“It looks like the fighting isn’t over.”
We hear sounds of fighting as soon as we go in, and after opening Map and using Presence Detection and Magic Energy Detection, I see magic energy reactions that seem like golems.
There are a lot of people too, including a spot where over ten people are fighting a golem.
I feel like I didn’t see a reaction like that on the first floor. Could it be a mithril golem?
“What should we do?”
I infuse more magic energy into Map to enlarge it, but don’t see any golems that aren’t engaged in battle.
“Go back, prepare to mine, and come back later?”
I guess we’ll do that.
The second floor is larger than the first, so we need to be prepared. And apparently there’s a higher monster spawn rate.
We leave the dungeon, where it seems the fighting will continue, and head back to the house we’re renting.
Maybe it’s because of the distance, but Argo’s party isn’t back yet, so the girls take a bath first, rest, and then cook.
I’m leaving the cooking to them, because I’m sorting out the items.
Mithril is among the ore needed to enter the third floor. I hope I can mine it, but if it comes to that, I’ll either have to buy it or go after a mithril golem.
Mithril is an ore that can’t be handled without the necessary smiting skill, but if someone can’t do it, they can hire someone else to handle it. And it has many uses.
But not many can handle it, and I heard that there are waiting lists for people who want to order mithril weapons.
A mithril weapon really is a sort of status symbol. It’s something all adventurers want.
Argo and his party got their weapons made right away because the materials they brought are rare. I’m sure blacksmith are happy to make weapons using rare materials.
…If I can’t get the materials needed, can I negotiate with the rare materials I have? That means I’ll have to look into what they like. Maybe I should ask in the Fuxto village in Lath.
Ah, but wouldn’t their needs be different compared to here?
As I struggle thinking about this on my own, Argo’s party gets here, so I ask them.
“It’s tricky, but I think you can use materials from superior species to negotiate. And I think materials from monsters that appear in dungeons outside of this country will be more valuable. Also, wouldn’t blacksmith be more interested in demon materials than kijins’? And there are places that make equipment too, so they should buy hide for a good price.”
That’s something you can only get on the third floor in this dungeon.
“Thanks. That helps.”
“Don’t mention it. We don’t know how much longer we’ll be here.”
They’re leaving when their weapons are done. They just dropped by the workshop to leave them there.
He says they’ll laze around and sometimes go to the training area while they wait.
“We’re going to rest tomorrow and go to the second floor after that. Should we cook in the meantime to leave food here?”
“…Can I ask you to do that?”
“It’s fine. We’re taking a break tomorrow, so I think they’ll cook what you want if you ask.”
Argo and the others immediately go to the kitchen, and skip their way back. I guess they got a positive answer.
But among the requests there are things for me to make, so I’m cooking too.
I’ve come to like it quite a bit thanks to the Cooking skill, so I don’t mind, but I have to buy the ingredients.
We go out to get them the next day, and come across the people we met in the dungeon.
They ask us when we’re going to the dungeon again, and they’re surprised to hear we’ll be going to the second floor tomorrow.
And they look a little disappointed too.
When we tell them we’re going to cook when we get back, they ask us to teach them, and they take us to their house.
It would get pretty cramped in the one we’re renting. And they have a pretty nice kitchen that never sees any use
“Well then, Mia and Chris.”
I ask them to guide them in their cooking, and the rest of us cook what we’re taking to the dungeon and Argo’s party’s food.
They have magic bags, and we’re going to make food that doesn’t spoil in a few days, so we’re making quite a bit.
“It’s a lot easier with a big kitchen.”
“Yes, it’s nice to have a place like this.”
I hear Sera and Hikari say as I work a frying pan.
Rurika is cutting vegetables and boiling them in a large pot.
We cook until nighttime, and step into the second floor the next morning.

Thanks for the treat. 😊
P.S. I think you were aware that Comick.io is dead. Are you switch back to MangaDex? Thanks.
No, I think it’s time to find something else.
I didn’t want to leave mangadex, but I don’t feel comfortable checking the box that says I have permission from the rights holders to upload. And apparently since namicomi took over they added in their TOS that they reserve the rights to distribute and sell anything posted there.
