“In the end, they didn’t try to block our vision.”
“Maybe they have to focus to use that magic attack.”
I respond to Argo’s whisper while thinking back to the fight with the sea devils.
I felt their magic energy intensifying sometimes, but it dissipated when they were attacked.
Magic sometimes fails if it’s interrupted during preparation, so I don’t think he’s wrong.
“What about the rest?”
“We have enough magic stones for everyone, so can’t we leave?”
The monsters we’ve hunted are piling up in the Item Box, so I want to take them apart soon.
“Then how about we go back to a safe area and take them apart?”
Asks Argo while looking at Hikari, who seems happy.
“Let’s use transfer then.”
We could walk back, but I use Transfer along with the Farsight skill to go back.
And of course, I also use Map and Farsight to see if there are any people there.
“But do you know how to take them apart?”
“You can leave that to our Chris.”
Says Rurika while going around and putting her hands on Chris’ shoulders.
I saw how to do it on the documents, so I should be fine too.
Among the monsters we took down, sahagin, reapers, frostgators, poison frogs, and sea devils are edible.
The sahagin have been skinned, but their blood hasn’t been drained, so let’s do that together.
We get poles to hang them, and start draining their blood.
This part is the same with any monster.
We split into people keeping watch and tending to equipment until that’s done.
Part of me feels we shouldn’t be doing this in a dungeon, but few people hunt here, and it’d be annoying if people rushed us because they want them.
“Argo, should we leave the dungeon once we’re done taking most of them apart?”
“I think we can stay, right?”
“Argo, Sora is saying that because he wants to know if you’re thinking about how things are like outside.”
“Really? Well, I think we can keep hunting. Even if something attacked again, those people from the big clan can handle it. And if they really need us, someone will come call us.”
I’m pretty sure there are people who can enter the third floor, even if they don’t use it.
“What’s that face?”
“I was just thinking that you make sense sometimes.”
Says Guilford, and two people nod. I’m not saying who.
Once we’re done draining the monsters, we start taking them apart, centered around me and Chris. Well, I’m mostly helping.
And once that’s done, we split into people who drain other monsters, and one’s cooking.
“Sora, which meat is expensive?”
“The reference materials said it’s the poison frogs.”
Since there aren’t any people on the third floor, materials from its monsters rarely make it outside.
The ones that do come here typically stay in the wasteland to look for ore, and don’t approach the water.
Because of this, reference materials and a quest form on a wall are the only sources of prices for materials. And that quest form’s color was pretty faded.
I can tell these monsters haven’t been hunted in a long time.
“Really?”
“Yes. But they require preparation to extract the poison.”
Poison frog meat is poisonous if eaten as is. Although Appraisal tells me the poison doesn’t spread to all the meat.
“So how is it extracted?”
“Recovery purifies it. But we can also use holy water, medicinal herbs, and monster materials. Those take longer than Recovery, but apparently the meat is tastier.”
“Mu, then Recovery is out of the question!”
“But then we can’t eat… Well, we could eat the parts without poison.”
Analysis shows me what parts can be eaten.
It would be a tough job for a regular person, but Analysis makes it easy for me.
“Then let’s eat that, master.”
“Okay, I’ll cut it.”
I start handing over meat without poison, and they start cooking.
Everyone’s happy about something new being brought to the table, so we leave it to Hikari.
Chris and Mia also finish taking frostgators apart, and hand in their meat. They keep on working, finishing sahagin, reapers, and sea devils.
Reapers are fish, so they seem suited for sashimi or boiling with vegetables. We could grill them too.
Apparently the suction cups on sea devils are also edible.
Is their meat eaten normally like an orc’s? I think it’s best to mince it first. The nerves look like they’d be hard to chew.
I’m glad the Cooking skill shows me how to cook.
We leave the mincing to Sera, and I collect materials while looking into what can be made with them.
