“Isn’t it too hard?”
“Touch your weapon before you whine.”
“You do it!”
“You idiot, if you can’t, I can’t either.”
I can hear an argument.
They’re still fine, so I can leave them be.
Actually, I can’t spare the attention either.
I swing my mithril sword infused with magic energy, but it bounces off the shell.
It leaves a mark, but doesn’t cause damage. After all, a shell is basically the equivalent of armor. Is there a point in damaging armor? I guess maybe there is if we can break it.
But how long will that take at this rate?
Sera swings her axes down with all her might, Rurika uses Gale to increase her momentum, and Hikari uses Projectile Slash, but the tartaruga’s shell blocks it all.
I guess it is a little scratched.
And of course, the same happens when Chris uses magic. It disappears the moment it touches the shell.
I already knew magic wouldn’t work, but I’m still surprised to see it.
I guess a frontal attack isn’t going to do it.
I use the See Through skill and look at it.
If attacking the shell won’t work, I figured the exposed face and limbs would be weak, but not so.
They’re softer than the shell, but superficial attacks won’t make it budge.
I use See Through while attacking to look into what parts are weak, but its weak point is a problem too.
“Sora, did you get it?”
“Yes, it’s the stomach.”
Rurika frowns. If its weak point is under the shell, we have to go below to attack. But that comes with a high risk of being crushed.
Tartarugas are big, easily bigger than a kei truck.
Being crushed by one would be fatal.
“We won’t do it like this.”
“We need to flip it over.”
“…I’ll tell the others.”
I nod, and Rurika uses Gale to go tell Argo’s party.
“Sora, can you lift it with magic?”
“Earth Magic?”
I don’t think an earth wall would do it.
Then how about using the ground here to create an earth wall? No, the dirt here is like sand, and it would take a lot of magic energy to harden it.
That also means I can do it if I take the time and use the magic energy, but to increase the chances of success, I’d have to guide it to one place or finish it where it is.
“I see. Then let’s guide it as we fight. Rurika.”
Chris calls her, and Rurika comes quickly, so we tell her the plan.
“Okay. Chris, buy some time and I’ll tell Sera too. Sora, where should we take it?”
I use Analysis to pick a spot, and tell Rurika.
“Got it. We’ll buy time until you’re ready. Give us a signal when you are.”
As Rurika goes back, Chris uses magic. It serves as a smokescreen so Rurika has time to talk to Sera.
They also tell Hikari, but since Mia is focused on healing, Chris tells her as she uses magic, after returning to the rear.
I move close to where I’ll use magic, and put my hand on the ground to infuse it with magic energy.
The problem with doing it like this is the possibility of the dirt emerging from the ground disappearing when it touches the tartaruga. But this is the only way.
If this fails, we’ll have to find another solution.
I keep hardening the sand with magic energy, and for some reason, the ground changes from sand color to dirt color.
“Chris!”
“Understood. Fire Arrow!”
Chris fires magic at the tartaruga’s eyes, but it opens its mouth to yell, making the magic disappear.
But no one is surprised, and Sera and Rurika’s moves change as they fight it.
They were mainly on the defensive, but they switch to the offensive.
They keep drawing aggro with attacks that don’t work, doing a good job leading the monster.
I’m waiting where they’re headed, but the tartaruga doesn’t see me at all.
Rurika and Sera are doing a good job, but it’s also because I’m using the Presence Obstruction and Conceal skills.
And once the tartaruga comes in range of the magic…
“Earth wall!”
I release all the magic energy.
The stomach of the tartaruga is lifted off the ground, and is carried up.
With its feet off the ground, it starts flapping them. We managed to stop it, but we can’t attack it like this.
How do we flip it… I have an idea.
I start magic magic energy flow, and change the shape of the dirt.
I make one part even taller, and one shorter. The idea is to change it like when I’m making a house.
The tartaruga’s body slowly tilts, and I successfully flip it.
Its shell is on the ground, and while it’s trying to flip itself again, its legs can’t reach the ground.
“Now!”
Rurika jumps on it to stab it with her swords.
Sera also swings her axes, and the tartaruga’s stomach is painted red as it screams in pain.
After a while, it stops flapping its legs.

Thanks for the update, & hope everybody has a good weekend.
Also why didn’t Sora make a single spike with his magic and killed it that way.
