Qualia detected two shadows under the full moon.
He did not know their names, but it was enough. The information about their names being Rocky and Krengel was not necessary.
One was clearly charging towards Qualia. The other towards Spirito.
“Type GUN.”
He created another photon weapon, and shot the two threats.
The two beams drew lines like falling meteors, but nothing happened to the shadows, despite being hit directly.
“Changing optimal solution.”
Qualia plainly used the failure to neutralize them as feedback.
He learned that each had a different reason why the photon weapons would not work.
“This magic device garment with the Diamond magic stone really is incredible. I only felt a tiny impact…”
“Detecting abnormal flow of magic energy in the clothing of the threat.”
The surface of the black clothing worn by the approaching Rocky was a little scuffed, but that was way too shallow.
The toughness of the clothing greatly outperformed the melting power of the beam.
He knew right away it was done by a magic stone. He could feel on his skin the different behavior patterns of the magic energy of magic stones, like the ones magic dolls had on their chests.
He also began analyzing the large man approaching Spirito, Krengel.
His reflexes as he blocked the beam with his sword were phenomenal, but the moment the beam hit his wide sword, it quickly weakened and dissipated.
“Analyzing situation. Recognizing properties that greatly resemble beams in the weapon of the threat approaching Spirito. Recognizing that the beams canceled each other.”
“Hou… It looks like Qualia’s weapon has similar properties to the magic device Rei.”
He landed with a smile that had no malice to it, but then suddenly ran to Spirito. It was Shukuchi.
She jumped to dodge the flash that happened when passed by her, and glared at the sword in Krengel’s right hand. It was painted pink, with a beam. It was as though she was fighting Qualia’s photon weapon.
“You keep saying magic device… Those are armor and weapons fused with magic stones, right?”
“Created illegally, much like Ddos’ chimera. I’m pretty sure the kingdom prioritized magic dolls, so magic devices haven’t reached the point where they can be considered safe.”
Said Lobelia, but humans were strong, and they tamed the originally uncontrollable magic stones.
This meant they could use skills normally not available to them through normal magic.
It was with those skills that they were beating Qualia’s photon weapons.
Rocky seemed proud of that, as he used Shukuchi towards Qualia and yelled.
“Too bad, boy! You can regret underestimating Zero Division in the pits of hell! After you’re crushed by this Diamond!”
Qualia saw the black clothing was strong enough to neutralize his photon weapons. The ‘toughness’ behind it was not normal either.
If he charged with the speed of Shukuchi, Qualia would be minced meat for sure. And Diamond was being fired like a cannon at him just then.
But Qualia did not change what he was doing. He just had to learn that super technology.
“Type GUN MAGNUM MODE.”
He had yet to learn magic devices, so he fired an attack to test it, and read the results.
That was why he did not hesitate to fire with his long barrel.
Qualia had already learned Zero Division’s Shukuchi.
“!?”
“No prediction revisions in trajectory.”
The highly concentrated beam swelled as it became about as big as a person, and collided head-on with Rocky.
His body was taken in the opposite direction.
“Gu, uu…!”
“Abnormality in melting speed. Using as feedback.”
Even the highly concentrated beam shot by the magnum would not peel off the Diamond clothing, but the powerful energy and mass were a different story. They pushed Rocky back dozens of meters.
“Type GUN.”
He pointed the other gun barrel at Krengel, as he charged towards Spirito again.
“Krengel’s combat abilities are high. There is a risk of Spirito’s vital activities ceasing.”
There was some fear in Qualia’s face.
People died if pierced by a blade. They would be covered in blood, and their vital activities would cease there.
This time, that might happen to Spirito.
“Risk detected.”
The great sword magic device Rei was swung all over, and Spirito could not get close. Krengel had a much wider reach.
“Calculating optimal solution.”
But from Qualia’s perspective, Krengel would be easier to deal with. His beam was blocked before because the trajectory was too simplistic.
His defense was all about his physical attributes. Now that he learned that defense, Qualia could stop him and take him down with two shots.
“Qualia! Leave this one to me!”
Said Spirito, as she watched the slight fear in Qualia’s face, and dealt with Krengel’s slashes.
She was going to show Qualia her heart as a master.
